It feels like something else has inhabited their body. My mom is so confused and so angry. Especially at me. She was very vital and clear headed until about a week ago when she hit her head bad falling down. Refused medical treatment. Now, her whole personality has changed. She's in her late 70's and not jabbed. Her husband is blowing off my concerns. Maybe it's just dementia and not the blow to the head. But the anger is concerning.
Yeah don’t feel alone. I went through it, my friend is going through it now. It’s terrible and infuriating when they yell at you or get angry for no reason especially if you don’t deserve it and you are trying to help them. I like you said it’s sad because it as though a part of them have died. But they will come back from time to time and it’s then you can explain to them what’s happening and talk to them about it. Maybe it will make you feel better. I don’t know if it works but you can try also ridding of aluminum pots since many people with dementia are found with elevated levels of aluminum in the brain. Also if they’re pre-diabetic you can try low sugar low carb diet since elevated blood sugar damages the nervous system and the brain. I don’t know if Ginko Biloba works but worth looking into maybe. Anyway hope things work out.
