[quote:Anonymous Coward 82121352:MV81MTA4NjU4XzkzNjk5ODg5Xzk5QjQwQzFE] [quote:MrBlonde:MV81MTA4NjU4XzkzNjk5ODEyX0RGQTQ2RURD] Fly them back to Cancun? BS
They were supposed to land at JFK. They made 4 attempts but the pilots decided it was too dangerous so they landed at the Newark Airport in Jersey. Instead of just letting them off in Newark they made them sit on the plane for 7hours so they could takeoff from Newark and Land at JFK like they were supposed to. To be clear Newark is a 1hr and 15min drive from JFK. They wasted an extra 6hours of their time by not just letting them off at Newark. Id be furious and looking to sue them. I hate flying anyway so there's a chance I may have beaten the shit out of a staff member just to get off the plane. Youre flying in a petri dish and they're making you sit in it for an extra 6hours? In the era of covid there's a case here.
Original Message
Chaos erupted on a JetBlue flight when passengers diverted due to weather were told they would be flying back to their original destination instead of being allowed to deplane. The passengers were headed to JFK International Airport from Cancun in stormy weather when the pilots had to abort the landing four times. The flight tracker shows the wild path it took over New York City before giving up and diverting to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. The two airports are 33 miles apart.
“We gotta get off this plane, It’s dangerous. We tried to land four times already. It’s dangerous. We’re scared to fly. We want to get off.”
