Why do GLPEers insist on dramatizing everything
If they took the time to see what the problem was, they would not say the passengers were hostages for 7 hours! The plane was delayed in Cancun for 5 hours and 4 minutes! They sat inside the airport then boarded. So, it was late leaving the gate in Cancun! Probably because of the weather in NYC! Flight time was 4 hours 12 minutes. They attempted to land at JFK. When that didn't work out, they diverted to Newark. They were on the ground there for 60 minutes. Then took off and landed at JFK. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/JBU1852/history/20220407/1902Z/MMUN/KEWR
Original Message
Chaos erupted on a JetBlue flight when passengers diverted due to weather were told they would be flying back to their original destination instead of being allowed to deplane. The passengers were headed to JFK International Airport from Cancun in stormy weather when the pilots had to abort the landing four times. The flight tracker shows the wild path it took over New York City before giving up and diverting to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. The two airports are 33 miles apart.
“We gotta get off this plane, It’s dangerous. We tried to land four times already. It’s dangerous. We’re scared to fly. We want to get off.”
