Making spaghetti sauce for the first time and as usual when I have to add tomato paste, it's always just a tablespoon. Really? Would it hurt to add the entire tiny can and move on?
Please list the ingredients. I would probably leave it out, or use a small can of tomato sauce instead. Or plan on pizza tomorrow.
Something's wrong with your post :hmm:
What? If I could see his ingred. list, I might have suggestions. sauce, paste, juice, chopped, whole tomatoes are all interchangeable to some degree. I might use the LEFTOVER paste as the base for a pizza tomorrow. So what is wrong? I can't imagine the recipe that only calls for 1 tbsp of tom. paste. WTF? I usually only use a recipe as a starting point and add or subtract as I see fit.
That's not what I meant, it seems like someone else wrote it for you and this one too.
No, it's just me, Mike. The first time I made spaghetti was 1969 when I was living in an apartment in Honolulu(which was a hell of a lot better than trudging through the jungles VietNam). I thought it was delicious. Now I use some lowry's spaghetti seasoning and 1 can of hunts paste and 3 cans of water. render down some black olives with the ground beef (for my son) and there it is. One of my roommates from the Navy(Honolulu) claimed he had dated Brenda Lee, but I never believed him. He also claimed that he had a 426 Mustang. Custom install by the Ford dealer for him. Didn't believe that either.
I don't know what it is but something is very weird about your responses to me. I had to read this over like 5 times to understand what you were saying reading it feels like having a stroke. Anyway I used to make a really good meat sauce but it was several steps and I'm not sure I remember it. Your friend might have been telling the truth about the mustang though, were they all custom installs? The camaro SS was custom from the dealership also around the same time.(memories triggered)
He claimed the date with Brenda Lee was family arranged and they were about 13-14. He said his family was connected with Honest Charlie in some way. I love Brenda lee.
Why is it everytime I have to use tomato paste it only calls for a tablespoon or so?
What do I do with the rest of it?
Should I freeze or just put the whole can in - screw it!
