[quote:Anonymous Coward 6413253:MV81MjM1ODY2Xzk2NDU2Mzg0XzJEMTk0NkNB] Hospitals in Mykolaiv are filled with wounded Ukrainian soldiers near Kherson. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the words of an underground fighter. "(The dead - RT) we have a huge number, the number of wounded is unbelievable, all the hospitals in Mykolayiv are full, and they also take them to other cities," the source said. https://russian.rt.com/ussr/news/1051337-herson-vsu-bolnica?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that Beijing could invoke its "Anti-Divestment Act" to seek reunification with Taiwan, in response to recent rhetoric from the island's authorities, backed by the West. The minister also warned that such an approach by Washington could undermine U.S.-China relations, according to the South China Morning Post. Beijing, which considers Taiwan its breakaway province and advocates its reunification with mainland China, announced a formal protest to the U.S. in connection with Biden's remarks. The White House then assured that U.S. policy toward Taiwan, known as "strategic ambiguity," has not yet changed, the article said. "Achieving peaceful reunification is our greatest desire, and we will do everything we can to achieve it. But it should be understood that the more unrestrained "Taiwan independence" is promoted, the less likely a peaceful solution to the Taiwan issue will be," Wang said in this regard during a meeting with Kissinger. "There is an old saying in China: it is better to lose a thousand soldiers than an inch of land. This is consistent with the will and determination of the Chinese people. If the 'Law on Countering Divisive Activities' is violated, China will take decisive action in accordance with the law to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country," the Chinese diplomatic chief also stressed. To be honest, I know squat all about the battle. I see the larger global implications but the day to day wins and loses for both sides 'meh' above my non paygrade. SO carry on. I can't ban AC's because that would ban them in total from other threads. And I have no personal bans. So, for the great posters there...carry on, or better yet, start another.
