[/quote] Agreed, a safety net when you feel uncertain will help you sleep better at night, but with inflation, it's still a loss. I would consider a few things. We are tooling up for war. I would consider defense industries, like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. It takes time to build hardware, and they know it. So orders are already up. If we end up not going to war, anything we build is easily sold to other countries over time, so there are no scratch and dent sales of armaments. No closeouts. But if you are sure all sectors will lose and inflation will improve, a 1 year note would make sense. [/quote]
