The opportunity to double and triple your investment portfolio was there. Inverse short ETFs.
The three years prior to 2022, the NASDAQ was up 101%, so if you average them out: 101-33.1= 67.9/4= 16.98% If we make 23.02% this year, we will be on target for the 20% average we maintain...
Did you take your starting point from the low of March 2020, or before the fall in Feb 2020, or the average? It's all relative and produces different results. You can't claim to be the rarity it worked for, when it won't work for everyone else. Regardless in how you calculate your returns, whether it's 5%, 10%, or 16.98%, last year lone could have brought in 200%-300% - if only you knew how. And those supposed up movements, it works the same way. Amateurs ride the train up and down, and keep averaging in to some benefit. They "can", and I express can do well, but it's not due to skill of any kind. Those especially, that have larger amounts of investment upfront, have opportunity, where it's not spread out evenly across the board. My strategy is simply to be good at what you do. You invest and run it to the top. Flip, and run it to the bottom. Then switch and run it to the top again. It's not that difficult, always leave a good 5%-10% on the table and then wait. The same way you become gifted in your craft when you once owned your business, is the same way some people treat their stock and portfolio investments. Amateurs make 5%-20%, but the gifted return portfolio multiples.
I'm happy for you, we call people like you gamblers. There are successful gamblers, but I've been in the markets for 30 years...An investor is someone who actually loans money and doesn't pull it out and generate capital gains tax, only to put it back in again...That's not investing.
