The book "Enders Game" is science fiction book which was a best seller a couple of decades ago. the story was written in 1977, though.
The book is another attempt to describe the "Christ" or "the one" and the trials and tribulations he goes through.
However, a very interesting story line in the book relates to the use of the net to influence opinions through discussion boards just like this one. The main characters in this storyline use aliases to form a "good cop" / "bad cop" relationship with the audience. By doing this and seeing the reactions of the other posters on the forums, they are able to create a factions and followings. Then they are able to create a war by pitting one faction against the other. Then, of course, they offer a solution in the end and are able to "rule the world".
The similarities to this website is alarming to say the least. Personalities like "trinity" and "Omega" and "SHR" have been able to string people along just like the sheeple in the story. And nobody knows who they are or what their real views are.
All we can assume is that they are after power. Their secrecy gives everything away.
Fact follows fiction. Or is it the other way around.
Anyone else read this book?
