Debate on Jobs Bill in U.S. House--Is It About Jobs or Not?

If the final up/down vote on HR 1137 is taken within the hour that will mean the amendment in question will have been posted online for only 3 hours for the public to read and reflect on and contact their House Rep. with their input and thoughts.

Yes, OP should be very happy that those obstructionist republicans were not able to ward off this additional useless spending of money we don't have.

Maybe it can end up providing jobs for China and Brazil as the last stimulus money has done. $2 billion to develop orrshore drilling in Brazil right after George Soros bought stock in that. Money to China to manufacture solar panels.

We wouldn't want those evil republicans to stop jobs for these foreign countries, now would we? I mean when we are doing so well here at home and all.

I hope this time there was some specifity as to which country these jobs are to be created in for a change but doubt there was.

Democrats never want to discuss anything these days because the minute that happens, public support evaporates--not that they care about that either.

However, I did read the bill and it was for police departments and highway construction, among other things, in the U.S.
