There are .380's as well. Same size bullet as a 9mm, .38 and .357. They just pack way less punch than all of them. More of a compact concealable weapon.

No. there is no such thing as a 388 caliber hand gun.

I have no idea what your dream means. If you want to shoot a gun then go to a gun range. You can learn which weapon of choice fits you,you can rent it,and fire it off into a target for some practice.

I guess I should have said same diameter of bullet. Not necessarily the same weight.

Maybe it was 380...Always thought if I bought a gun it would be a 40 or 45 cal...though

I carry a .38 everywhere I go. Being Titanium and a stub nose makes it light and fits my pocket well. I too had a dream I bought a new handgun last night, but it was a .45. Not sure why I had the dream yet...

My immediate family owns more than 2 dozen firearms.. we own and carry.. and it's not that we want or need them for protection, I mean that is an added bonus.. We carry because it's legal and this country was founded on that principal, among others.

It is.. you take an 8 hour class.. shoot some targets and pay some money to the state.. It's VERY easy..

In TN we do have to go through the 8 hour class. Well worth it though.

On your original post, the .380 is a good round that has lots of conceal carry size options. I was looking at a Tarus and Rueger just this afternoon. I love my .45, but it's a bit large to keep on my person all the time. Whatever you choose to purchase, get out to the range and shoot it reasonably often to keep in practice.
