Acts 4:32-35
Christians:
Please explain. Is this not communism?

Acts 4:32-35 (King James Version)

32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Re: Acts 4:32-35
Communism is not only a imperfect system of political government, but it is anti-God. So, no. The Bible states that the kingdoms of this world are in the hand of Satan, who is the god (small "g") of this age. The Bible also states that the world is currently blinded and deceived by him until a set time, when he will be bound in a 'bottomless pit.' Then a new era will begin when there is no kingdom on the earth that is ruled by him, until he is loosed one more time, then finally disposed of.

Re: Acts 4:32-35
No it is not. What is described in Acts is not a political ideology - it was communal living within a specific group of like minded people - like a family.
