Will There Be Bastards In Heaven?

Deuteronomy 23:2 ~ A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.~

Illegitimacy is a condition over which the victim has absolutely no control. Yet this unjust and blatantly prejudicial decree was promulgated by a so-called "loving God" on these unfortunate people as well as on their descendants who bear no responsibility. This amounts to the hateful decree, not of a benevolent, loving father figure, but of an evil, irrational despot disserving of wrathful rejection. Also, it contradicts Deut. 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:20 where it says that children will not be punished for the sins of their parents.
To make bad matters even worse, this evil decree was selectively enforced. If a bastard, or his descendants, had achieved wealth, power, and/or high social status, God conveniently winked. Biblical genealogies show, for example, that David was a ninth-generation descendant of Pharez, the bastard son of Judah and Tamar (Gen. 38:24-30). Obviously, David was not denied entry into the "congregation of the Lord."
Bibliolaters will argue that by counting Pharez the first generation, David comes out to be the tenth generation, and there the restriction is lifted. However, if Hezron, the son of Pharez, is counted as the first generation, which certainly seems the correct thing to do, David becomes the ninth generation (Ruth 4:18-22) and technically falls within the restriction. Another case in point is that the descendants of Aaron, the first high priest of Israel, were not banned in accordance with the decree.
Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab (Ex. 6:23) and the fourth-generation descendant of Pharez. That would make Aaronīs sons fifth-generation descendants, well within the limit. Yet, they were all consecrated as priests. One of them, Eleazar, even went on to figure prominently in priestly activities throughout the alleged 40 years of wilderness wanderings as well as in the Book of Joshua. Phinehas, the son of Eleazar (Num. 25:7) and a sixth-generation descendant of Pharez, received directly from God "the covenant of an everlasting priesthood" even after he had committed two murders (Num. 25:6-13).
Deuteronomy 23:2 not only qualifies as a cruel and senseless edict, it also creates a serious biblical contradiction further questioning the existence of god and the integrity of the Bible.

Re: Will there be bastards in heaven?
Take that with a grain of salt.

The guys that wrote the Bible lived in an era when they were hysterically fanatical about lineage, because itīs how you acquired wealth.

The whole bullshit thing with blaming an innocent little baby for parental discretion was always sickening to me,a nd to any other reasonable human being. People might blame parents for stuff and thatīs wrong, they do the best they can.

To blame a CHILD for the (so-called) wrongdoing of the parents is totally ridiculous.

Everyone eventually goes to heaven. There are no restrictions except being pure of heart.

Some just take longer to come around and have to sit in their own stew until they realize the light is the way.

thise is old testament anyone born before Jesus was killed will be judged by how they lived their life at the Great White Throne Judgment (see Revelations 20)How they lived is what will matter not how their parents or their kids lived.

There is no judgment.

That is a man made concept to instill fear and hence gain control over the masses.

Re: Will there be bastards in heaven?
There is no judgment of you by others. The only person that might judge you, is you, and God prefers you not even judge yourself.

What will happen though, is youīll stand before the Truth, call him Jesus or whomever you like, without ego and witness your life in the minutest detail from not only your perspective but everyone elseīs whom your thoughts, actions and words effected.

When it is done you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt what you should do next, be it moving on to bigger and better things or taking a do over.

Yes, we are all bastards that become adopted sons, and thus heirs (for those in Christ).

So yes, there will be bastardies in heaven.
