The problem isn't in understanding the lines, it's that there are too many influences driving the implementation of policy. If war was just kept to the "kill them all, bulldoze the bodies into a pit, present sanitized area to popular press and be cheerful winners" it would be a lot more straightforward. This slide actually shows why all wars are now "un-winnable". |
