So far that might have been the case.
But what we have here is something of epic proportions.
While it will be devastating, tragic and even possibly epic, it is not unprecedented. The IXTOC in Campeche released between 10K and 30K bbls per day for eight or nine months. It was devastating but the Gulf and the oceans are still here.
The author in the OP's piece is full of shit.
A pipe five feet wide?? LMAO There is not a pipe NOR a hole five feet wide at the wellhead (still intact from what I have read).
The well head is clear from rig debris
The hole is not wide open; rather there is 1,500 feet of pipe extending from the well head that is crimped. I'll see if I can locate the diagram.
His numbers don't add up regarding his sensational claim that all the oceans of the world will be destroyed. Run the numbers on three to six months (time to relieve pressure with relief wells and cap), look at the numbers I provided in my last post as well as some history here (execute the cumulative calculations along with the numbers provided in my previous post):

He knows the flow will be stopped with a relief well (or two) and capping - albeit several months. Instead of describing that process, he sensationalizes.
And if this guy is suggesting a nuke, then I suggest he obtained his engineering degree at WalMart.
Then...LMAO...he states our only hope is that God steps in and fixes the well head.
And people just fall for it all hook, line and sinker without one bit of research or questioning.
Gotta get a slice 'o that mega doom....even if it isn't set in reality...gotta get me some. Reminds me of the Beggin' Strips dog...
