Good idea ! I've been in SL for almost 4 years.

I do know this though .... a lot of very well known and talented content creators from SL use this forum ... I was shocked when i found out who was here :)

Heh well I did fool around on the starter island thing, messing around with building objects (had made a nice robot mech thingy to ride in lol, but that's as far as I went visiting SL.

for a newbie, thats pretty kewl what you tried too do.

To get together in SL you need to start a Group (Godlike Productions) and then have everyone join.

I'm not in there much lately, but my avatar name is Jana Kurelek. Look me up. :)

Dude ... Just coz people use computers ( Including your good self ) It don't allways mean they are " Shut In's " ... you see the point ?

It's just about having another outlet or location for free speech .

A place to get together and talk and be a community ... Don't be afraid dude ... and don't take it for granted that all you have been conditioned to belive is true :)

SL sex is funny ....people hop on pose balls that animate them... some actualy look good :)

SL is about way more than what you see on ether of the vids ...its just about YOU finding what it is you like and enjoy and doing that...it realy is endless what you can do :)

The group allrady has 8 members , One of them is even offering the use of his land for GLP in SL Meetings ... how cool is that ?

It's a good place for free speach ...and for people who just like to communicate thoughts with others ...so don't be shy :)

hehe MO it's nothing like it and you know that :))

Everything in SL is built by the users and a good percentage is pretty good .

Also has no fixed gameplay ...No score ..points ..or goals .. It's about what the user enjoys and wants to do .

Most use it as a social platform to meet up with likeminded people and just chat and have fun ...Avatar customisation is endless so you get some pretty cool and unique looking avatars .. Same with homes ...it really is an amazing online experience if you take the time to learn the basics .

Others go on to make vast amounts of cash providing services to the social types ... like building prefab homes .. clothing design ..making stuff for others to enjoy and have fun with ... I mean, How cool is it that you can wave a magic wand and a huge herd of bulls go charging past while your chatting with friends ? ...lol its a fun place

I know i sound like im promoting it a bit ... But i have been there for a long time and i can tell you straight ... I NEVER seen myself as the type of person that would enjoy a place like SL ... but i was totaly wrong ... all i needed to do was learn the basics ... and then figure out what it was i wanted to do ... the rewards have been crazy i can asure you ( I wish i could say more but i can't )

the great thing about it is this .... If you tryed it and don't like it ... Close it and go back to doing what you was doing ... If you like it ...its a brand new world for you to explore and meet likeminded people... Simple as that :)

The group is growing by the day , It's great to see a budding community grow from just an idea :)

The members input so far has been pretty good to , One of the members " Lost " Has made a " I <3 GLP " Badge ( pin ) for everyone to wear ...and when you click on it it's scripted to open up the GLP Forum page !! ... heheh very cool ...Thank you Lost

welp, drank my coffee, now I am going into SL to see what I will be working on today. Product updates I think and a new possible type of Animesh motion system using horses - new dev.

I am the Guided Tour Company - I make and sell a very popular Ice Skating System (automatic motion, no keyboard crap) allows skating and animating really cool and allows riders to chat with each other too - hands free!. I was/am a well known maker there, are you making a living?

back in 2007 to about 2012 I lived off it, sales were great and I lived super cheap. who were you?, I might know you? - I am John Codemsmith (Johnny) I sell motion systems - follow a route, sit and go. Now I work real job (control systems designer) but I still do SL - still make tons of money too - I am about to start work on automatic horse meshes (animesh) - I just finished a ridable lion tour, wow is it cool! clubs are still packed and we have a ball in there, friends from all over the world - it's fun as hell - no stupid phones, no stupid shit, and it has a MUTE button to remove stupid people from my existence there haha stop in say hello - I'll be in Mocha sim under my store all morning.

so, I logged into SL - aaah, peaceful here - and joined GPL (Godlike Productions) group and wtaf - only 6 members? - GTF in here GPL! I'm John Codesmith (Johnny)
