A Gentle Reminder to the Military

Attention, military of all stars and stripes, just on the outside chance there may turn out to be a hereafter, with its accountability issues, do you suppose 'didn't know' in an age of communications, or 'following orders' is going to be a credible defense in a place where smoke and mirrors are not apt to work?
Just in case no one has reached your ear, while you have been away fighting chimeras (yeah, yeah, I know), your country has been under attack from within by the same group that has you away on missions of conquest and greed. And from the looks of things, they are within a hair's breath of succeeding.
Barring outside intervention by forces beyond your collective pay grade, you are the last best hope for the survival of this country. You know, the one that birthed most of you, and instilled in you a really good moral code in spite of the lies, deceit and efforts to make you a robotic serveant in a 'Truman' kind of world.
The notion of a military 'coup' rings kinda harsh, but if anyone has anything other than some pollyanna notion of how things can be fixed, now is the time to speak up. RAP sounded like a good idea until we learned it was flawed by having more than one person involved with a lack of common purpose. And, for what it is worth, I would prefer the military remember their Oath, take the bull by the horns, and do what has to be doon. Sooner rather than later is to be desired. Quckly, effectively, efficiently.
And, lest anyone forget, it is their duty to do so!
