Anonymous Coward User ID: 566027 Netherlands 05/12/2010 10:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On the flir cam. why is it moving like that? I have never seen it do that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 963029it automatically goes to the HOTTEST part of the image. It is a setting, I believe. Once the clouds clear, the mouth of the volcano will be the hottest and the land in the foreground will look nice and cool. But I may be a fool! So be careful! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 951944 United States 05/12/2010 10:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It might be just the wind blowing the hot ash the direction of the web cam. Do a zoom, control-+ all the way in then use the scroll bars to look around, looks like either all the ground is smoking or there are clouds. |

Comparing the Youtube pic and the current pic, it looks like they pulled the camera back to a new location further away from the volcano, the current location [link to eldgos.mila.is] being further away today than it was on the Youtube video. Yes. It was much closer Monday: [link to s482.photobucket.com] I thought the same thing yesterday when I pulled the image for the 11th. I agree also, the camera is back from where it was. |

User ID: 963807 United States 05/12/2010 11:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | definitely erupting! Look at where he's measuring now and how hot the top is Quoting: Anonymous Coward 643200I don't think it ever really stopped. IMO, the dense(purple) clouds that lingered throughout the night and early morn kept it hidden. |
