God has blessed me with the ability to move away from the cities and find a place to sustain my family and myself.

when things start to go bad i will have an endless supply of food and wood for fuel. i will also have water. I even have a fireplace.

I live in front of a creek and am surrounded by forest. but i am still close enough to get to work and shopping. I am hidden well.

Well, Nessie, why are you struggling to stay alive so much that you move away from the city and worry about things like food and fuel and water? You would THINK that if you die sooner, you could be with your lovely Jesus sooner? This just confirms to me that you are scared to death to die. I don't believe we go to heaven when we die. we are dead until the time christ returns and ressurects us. The bible says the Dead in Christ will rise. I also don't believe in slowly starving to death or dying of thirst or cold temperatures. I believe i will at least have some comfort at the end. I think since God loves me and I love him he will spare me all that he can. God is loving and merciful.

Plenty of Christians have died horrible deaths filled with suffering, Christians who loved God just as much as you... but he was content to let them go to their end screaming in agony... why?

Why does God allow children to be raped and tortured to death?

What in Gods "great plan" necessitates such suffering?

I can say the same thing about, say, the Tao, if I was so inclined to shove my own personal decisions off on some book written thousands of years ago. For that matter, I could say that Walden armed me and tells me and blessed me with the ability to move away.

And I'd rather think that what Jesus would do is not run away, in these times, to a place less dangerous, but to stay and give compassion and care and give your life for the "goodness" that you believe God is.

So how would you like to die Neesie? Do you prefer cancer or maybe a stroke? Maybe you could get Lou Gehrigs disease? You know, we all have to die and none of it is pleasant. Even if you die quickly, like in an auto accident, there will still be pain involved. And just because you have a house full of things that YOU think keep you safe doesn't mean you actually ARE safe. Thieves do come in and steal and destroy your stash, you know. And maybe a hurricane will come and blow, blow, blow your house away. Scarey, isn't it??

You are soo short sighted. How many times has GOD stepped in and stopped rape or suffering? More than you can even imagine. He protected me from this one time-a story you probably wouldn't believe, but I lived it. Now, there comes a time for each of us when we will die physically. Yes, we are all afraid of pain and physical suffering. I don't think that there is any doubt about that. However, I can tell you that GOD knows all that is going on everyday, every minute. He is not taken by surprise. He knows the end from the beginning. That being said, this is a world where sin has taken hold and the effects of sin are being and will continue to play out resulting in bad things happening. Even to Christians. Does this mean that God is not loving or caring? NO! It means that He knows what must be and He will not pull the plug until the last person who will be saved is saved. He, and by virtue we, wait for our brothers and sisters in Christ to be born and saved.

Paul talked about the fact of his being. If someone tortured him, he would be rewarded in heaven; if they killed him, he would be with Christ; if they left him alone, then he would continue to share the gospel with people for as long as he could. Win/Win/Win. It takes a lot of maturity to see things this way and not all Christians are at that point. Sometimes, I don't think I'm at that point yet. But, I warn you not to judge God from your humanistic perspective. There is much we have a lot of trouble understanding that He sees clearly. Someday, it will make sense. Until then, we trust in Him. If you are not willing to trust Him, that is a choice that He gives you the freedom to make. At the same time, the God, Creator, and Owner of all things reserves the right to make choices about you-He made you and gave you life and he will have the last say.

It's too bad that you live in a world where you have lost the ability to love and to hope for the beauty of eternity with The Author of Life. You only see what is directly in front of you-as is normal for humans like you and me. I hope you wake up before you run out of time.

Well, Neesie, if you must know, I would prefer God create a world of robots. That way NO ONE would have to suffer forever for some stupid sin, like being born in a non-Christian country or go to hell for having brains and not believing in some old book that was written by primitive men.

What about a little child that is tormented, raped and killed? What kind of CHOICE does that child have? We have a case of that in my city. A little girl was raped and killed by her father. Is that the kind of choice God gives us? You are so selfish but you don't see it. It really is ALL about you. You say stupid things like, "I know I will always be loved." Or, "God will always be there for me." It isn't all about YOU. There is a lot of suffering in the world but, when you only think of yourself, God can be some wonderful fantasy. GROW UP.
