Quoting: Anonymous Coward 728979They also have megabucks to feed specialists/scientist/engineers of the very highest caliber. Any appeal to the general public for their assistance with ideas is "throwing the dog a bone" to finesse the public into feeling a part of this disaster, into shared-guilt, nothing more. Think about it. I already have. These people are evil mofos. BP could say 'anything' about the suggestions received....how would we even know? They could say the vast majority of the "public" suggested us to...NUKE it !!! Then, when that causes the biggest disaster ever, BP will just say that it is the fault of John Q. Public and their 'suggestion'. See how that works? |

Lotta subtle kumbaya share-the-guilt-with-BP subtleties running around GLP today, have you noticed? I have noticed many things about this disaster, not the least of which is the fact that for the first few weeks virtually nothing was done. On about day 4 or 5 of this fiasco, the potus was wringing his hands over...illegal aliens. No mention of this leak and the importance of it. I almost feel like sending BP an email telling them to use scotch tape to seal it.... Sad, sad, sad. |

User ID: 953582 Australia 05/15/2010 07:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if the gushing of the oil is coming from just a pipe on the sea floor, the fix is quite simple and easy. Its just they haven't thought of it yet. My solution is to built a heavy and massive stell rectangle net, drill a hole in the middle and attach a flexible pipe to it and slowly lower it over the leak to connect it with the pipe. Have a container ship above to pump in the oil onto it |

Just sink that on top of this mess then allow that to buy enough time to drill a relief well. |

Keven Costner has high volume water/oil separator project he funded. I think they have 6 or 8 ready to go. There one thing. Use the hay farmers on the beaches. MAKE BP FUND IT ALL |

The 'commoners' don't understand what has happened. Any how... i don't meet many 'strangers' and i told my new strangers friend i was going to ask were if they going to NUKE the site...lol (nervous laugh) And that's what most of them did..laugh.. until i told them who (group's background) 0bama sent down here and how Russia handle there drilling problems. PB still refers to this as something a kin to an 'oil spill' |

Why aren't they using straw to soak up and contain the iol from washing ashore. User ID: 969131 United States 05/15/2010 09:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My suggestion: Corral the oil, which is FLOATING on the surface of the water. Siphon up as much as is feasible. Release the oil-eating bacteria into whatever is left of it. (Yes, I read the article I posted, and realize it's just ferts for the extant bacteria that are already there.) Wait 20 years, and VOILA! It neber happy! (never happened) p.s. Feel free to use this suggestion as though you authored it.
