Back in the 1980's when they started tagging pets with electronic chips I already foresee this development.

Things always start so innocently.

Back then, the "Pet Implant" was to "help the pet owners identify their pets". So many of them pet owners were like elated, woo hoo, something that will help re-unite me and my pet.

But they forgot one thing - what started with pets may end up in us.

And now Intel is giving strong hints on Brain Implant.

It's much much more than mere tagging, and yes, there are people, totally healthy people, who would agree to have their skull cracked and something inserted into their brains.
