THE TRUTH BEHIND GLP?

I still think my favorite is when I read a post by someone saying "where else can you find the latest news, quicker than msm can give?" First place I come for news everyday...haven't had a tv for 7 months now, and I can honestly say when I go to work with more news than my tv news watching friends do, it makes me happy to have such a place to come and visit :) and in all honesty...this is not gov controlled media!

We know about things well before they become reality.

No matter what online site you frequent, you can be profiled in twenty posts. That's the way the world works in 2010.

Regardless, one cannot deny that news hits GLP faster than anywhere else in the world. That alone is worth the subscription to me.

Pretty upset I watched a movie instead of participate in this great chat.

What does it matter, anyway? Show me someone who claims to "know" the "truth" behind anything and I'll show you a delusional liar. All "truths" are subjective. The steering toward the truth is a work for manipulators. The truth is what YOU, as an individual KNOWS. And, if/when ya get right down to it the truth usually ain't worth much. The reality of 'your' moment in this space and time rules. Digggg.

Anyone that watches any site like this can profile at the very least a 'mob profile'. I don't mean a violent mob, I mean a mob mentality. From those demographics you can project 24~36 hours in the future. As technology increases you, theoretically, can go out much further.

I have a love/hate relationship with GLP.

I love the sharing of viewpoints and information... there is nothing greater than the evolution of human connectivity. We used to trust our news sources (maybe), but we all know they're corrupted piles of shit now. Peer to peer news-sharing and unbridled opinions is where it is at. Mainstream news is repugnant that nobody really can share their point of view, because they have to be "unbiased". They show you what THEY want you to see though, so it is hardly "unbiased"... far from it.

I hate GLP though for (as someone said earlier in this thread) the religious extremists. I used to believe more people were awake from the cults of mass religions. I also thought that if you WERE religious, that at the very least you took your faith with a pinch of salt. NOPE! It's 2010 and people are dumber than they probably have EVER been in history.

There is also the issue of how unbelievably brain-dead some people are (aside from religotards)... but those people won't be 15 years old forever, so maybe there is hope. ;)

Trin, I've been coming here for years. I love this place. I have developed a trust (to a certain extent) with you, SHR, MO and the rest. Most of us are here because this is the last bit of freedom left in this world. Keep it that way...please.
