WTF??? Is this a weather phenomena or someone just got beamed up???

I just came across with this stunning image caught by the photographer Bonnie Jones (or Kitty Bluhm), that post pics of boat life style on his Facebook. The place is Florida Keys and at first sight is just a waterspout, but looking carefully I noticed the column isn't exactly above the lake, but among the trees (swamp??). Also I noticed a energy pole and wires where the waterspout is spotting, what may suggest that there's a road of some urban area behind the trees. And the most scary detail is a massive lighting bolt of beam inside the water column. I checked some pics of different waterspouts and I didn't see nothing like this one. Check this out:

WTF??? You North-American people, used to see these wild weather phenomenas, have seen something like that before???
It's just me or anybody else guess that beam inside the water column quite suspect???
