Absolutely your choice, and I'd fight for your right to make it. But to be fair, it's really good that some people don't utilize our services, because they don't understand that we can't do the work for them, they have to do it themselves. Those one's always end up frustrated and blaming us for their laziness, but they walk out with the same old problems.

What you have just stated goes for any profession dealing with people...doctors, teachers, and the like. Some people just need guidance. Some are just born screwed up and cannot be helped, and of course there are those who are like you said...the work is too hard and they cop out. And also, there are "professionals" who are crackpots...

Listening to someone would be all someone needs.
The article writer supports how most don't require mental evaluations of such types of picking someone part.
Picking someone apart until they become small would be what shrink means.
They dont embrace the broad view of how complex we all are.

Secondly. as a Christian I can tell you that psychology is needed by those who have clinical mental problems.

I promise you that reading the Scripture to a severe bi-polar person is not going to help them in any way what so ever. They must have medication to help them cope.

There is no proof the illness even exists. It is only an opinion. Most mental people in my opinion are in reality addicts of one sort or another. Certainly the supposed bi-polar claims.

As a psych Rn in NYS mental health system I am totally aware and warning everyone of the corrupt evil empire behind psychiatry. Atheists and AntiChrists all plotting to kill and poison kids for money..big pharm and big Health Care systems are behind it. It IS the Anti Christ. I know from proof, I've taken them off the meds and they do fine when given TLC and love. Imagine if they were let out of the dark and able to receive the Sacraments and word of God. There are no Bibles on these units in the patients bedrooms...why? These crooks and deviants are agents of Hell. There needs to be more awareness. It's a great big lie and they're slaughtering all these kids with these drugs. I've seen the effects of these drugs, these whacko psychiatrists and drug companies are in bed with our government and lawyers and covering all their bases to make a fortune while the poor kids and defenseless are being drugged and silenced. They're attacking our freedom from within and trying to Take Christ out of governement, society, and imposing their atheistic agenda. Wake up America...protect your kids, advocate and defend them. All Christians need to stand together and make a wall of unity and life. The enemy is here and is very cunning, using Doctors, lawyers,professors, and government to kill and poison. This is plotted carefully and is going unchecked. The kids are sucked into the system and farmed out from kids to adults eventually ending up in a group home looking like a zombie. Pray for these poor souls and for the conversion of sinners. Please pray for me as I have so much guilt and shame. God Bless us and save us from final damnation.

For almost 150 years, psychiatry has been masquerading as a medical science and as a branch of medicine. It is not and never was a science or a type of health care. Modern psychiatry is driven by unproved empirical assumptions, medical biases, and pseudo-scientific opinions. There are no scientifically established, independently proven facts in psychiatry. Psychiatry, in fact, has no laws or testable hypotheses and no coherent and comprehensive theory. Psychiatry conspicuously lacks scientific proof or evidence to support its news-media-parroted claims of "mental illness" or "disorders".

After about seventy years of psychiatric practices and research, there is still no diagnostic test for schizophrenia or any of the other three hundred so-called mental disorders listed in the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), which is essentially a list of class-driven moral judgements of allegedly abnormal behaviour, published and propagandized by the American Psychiatric Association. The DSM is the official bible of organized psychiatry. The DSM is the equivalent of the Malleus Maleficarum in the middle ages, which Spanish inquisitors used to identify, target, stigmatize and burn witches and heretics. Today's witches, heretics, and scapegoats are labeled mentally ill or schizophrenic.
