time and again it has been verified, documented, and is being done moreso on an ongoing basis of late. the petroglyphs and ancient writings in the US of A prove beyond all shadow of doubting that Columbus did NOT DISCOVER AMERICA... among a vast myriad of other things. they have proven that ancient rock writings herein were made by the ancient travellers who were here long before Christ was even born. Hebrews, Greeks, Celts, you name it, proof of their travels along our major inland waterways (rivers) exists and the rock writings have been carbon dated providing us with validation and authentication of same. 600 years B.C ought to be sufficient to get some attention, sigh.

Ron Wyatt also supposedly discovered the Ark of God's Testament too (along with several other "major" discoveries), but he didn't disclose where the ark was. He said "it wasn't time", and this by God's command to him. The fact of the matter is, Ron Wyatt was a failed Seventh Day Adventist who left the church and was trying to disprove their doctrine which claims that Jesus is still mediating in heaven (totally scriptural). He tried to prove that the ACTUAL blood of Jesus fell down into a crack in the ground (caused by an earthquake at His death), and fell upon the ACTUAL Ark--thus applying the blood of Christ AT HIS DEATH--and therefore, complete EVERYTHING at the cross just so YOU don't have to do anything; not even keep the Commandments of God. He even had (supposedly) an Arab working for him that (supposedly) went screaming into the night for fear of laying his eyes upon the sacred Ark.

Ron Wyatt was a liar and con artist. He even tried to claim that DNA tests were done on the blood found on the Ark, and that they came back WITH NO DNA FROM A FATHER--ONLY HIS MOTHER. This alone would have turned the world upside down--but, of course, it was never published and proven.

There are some very important points to understand about scripture and about prophecy. For all intents and purposes, the "world" consisted of the populations of the "Old World"--and then only if it had some connection to the "chosen people". There is very strong evidence of the supervolcano Thera exploding and causing a tsunami so powerful that it would wash a ship right up to the side of the mountains. (Coincidentally?) several civilizations all over the Mediterranean disappeared at the same time--Minoan, Greek, Egyptian--and even gigantic rocks of "sulphur and brimstone" were cast high up into the atmosphere and could have been the cause of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

In the Scriptures, God says for us to sit down and reason together. It doesn't have to be totally the way the so-called "fundies" say it is, nor does it have to be totally the way "science falsely co-called" says it is. It has been shown time and again in the Scriptures that God did things via natural processes, the use of special people, or even the use of His enemies. It may be by SUPER natural things, rather than by "supernatural" things. I believe that everything can be explained in very natural ways. I couldn't care less about whether Noah's ark is found or not. I believe that it could have benn a "local phenomenon"--but on a grand scale. Therefore, it would not have been necessary to have every single animal on earth in the ark--only those animals that were from that region. This is not cast in stone, of course--just an alternative theory.

Take Yellowstone, for example. An eruption would cause a near extinction level event--worldwide. If it were on the coast of an ocean, it would cause a tsunami that would encircle the globe. America would be covered in ash--up to four feet or so (I think), probably more. There would be a nuclear winter that would kill nearly everything. Is it possible? It is inevitable. Would it be considered an act of God? Quite likely. There are some that are already calling the Gulf oil spill as an act of God, and even a possible extinction level event. I would certainly think that the residents of the Mideast would see this flood as a world-wide event. Using the Scripture as guide, it may have only been referring to that area of the world where "God's chosen people" were. In any case, even if the discovery is the actual Ark, it doesn't prove anything except that there was a MAJOR flood that sent it up the side of a mountain. Now as to the question of how Noah knew it was coming, that is an entirely different question--one that I have pondered deeply over the years. Has God ever "warned" me of impending danger? Yes, on many occasions. Could this have been a product of my own mind's processes? Very likely, it was. Does it detract from the idea that God spoke to me? Not one iota. In fact, it has shown me over 40 years of being Christian, just how "natural" God's "voice" can be; and how He can use our natural abilities and gifts to accomplish His Will. This is why I have such disdain for so many things that are called "miracles" today. I see miracles all the time. They are as natural to me as the driven snow or a gentle rainshower.

Nature. You can't beat it. Look hard enough and deep enough, and you can experience miracles. You can even find God there. He really is quite natural.

We will ONLY find the dinosaurs that DID drown; they will be found because they were preserved when they were covered by the flowing mud during the flood. We will not find remains of those that went on the Ark, and those after, because they decayed normally.
