no, I'm a guy who now has a fully operational 100W output solar panel with 8 hour battery back up, made totally from dumpster bait discared Solar yard lites - that someone else irresponsibly just tossed in the trash.. I'm working up to a 2KW system.. my cost -- time dumpster diving and building -- but then the NiCads perhaps present an environometal problem, later on, but I have extended their lives and saved them fron the land fill.. when I am done with them they will be properly disposed of not just tossed in the trash.

We do our part and continue to insist that the energy companies do theirs.
