If the 'God of the bible' is so terrible, please explain what would make a better God.

you are confusing "God" with "satan".

God is no good or evil. He is what he is, according to himself. Your judgment is not going to change a bit to what he wants to do. Either you accept to learn the lessons he wants to teach or he shows the hard way. There is no escape when he is controlling our matrix.

It is not US to tell how God has to be. It is US to understand why we are were we are and take the conclusions (what is currently too painful for the majority to do).

I mean if "God" fulfills both roles of a bad/good cop, why the need for satan?

I would find it refreshing to see justice in the world. I'd like to see God take care of evil villains like Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Manuel, etc.

Satan is a tool of polarity just showing us what we should not do. If we follow him, we have to assume the consequences.

It's like it is known that it is dangerous to drive too fast on the highway. But God is not a policeman controlling your speed. If you follow the speed he is advising you will be fine, if you decide to go three times the speed, have an accident and get paraplegic, you can't say it was not your fault. Yet most won't see their fault, they will blame the block or the other car that was there at the wrong place. And this is Satan. A way of pushing responsibility upon somebody else. If everybody does it, we have hell.

OK, so i get it that you believe in "god" but think that "Satan" is just a figment of imagination that was put in the bible as a side kick to make "God" look better?

It would appear that this god created this defective spicies and walked away.

Maybe god should take some responsibility for his actions like is expected of us,you know,set by example.

Ya I know about Jesus but that didnt work so does your god just give up.

We as a spicies are what I would call a failed experiment....and it just gets better(or worse) everyday.

I believe in God as pure energy. Out of this energy, you can have entities polarized on one side or the other. Your own energy is attracting alike. I am not saying that the one who wrote the bible is not calling himself God and there is not a bad entity in the entire universe called Satan, but even one day to proceed further you will have to transcend your current teacher called God to another one. When you reach that step, you will have understood what you had to learn and not try to facet God to your human perspective.

But the "God" and the "Satan" of the Bible are not "Gods" but simpley entities that like to play "God"

A God that would create a life where we arent attacked daily by microorganisms.

A life where the total concept and design wasnt to make all living things hunt, kill and feed off eachother.

and a life we dont deteriorate daily until ultimately our bodies fail and die a slow difficult death.

A completely open, present and self-conscious ONE.

There IS a One True Almighty God Creator of the Heavens and Earth and YOU. He is occasionally spoken of and speaks in the "christian" bible and the Jewish Torah.

MOST of what is said about and by Almighty God in the "christian" bible and the Jewish Torah is NOT truly Almighty God but the deceiver, the imposter who seeks Flesh and Blood sacrifice, death, murder, and worship of idols.

The One True Almighty God is ALL LOVING and TOTALLY COMMITTED TO LIFE, the Continuation of LIFE, and PEACE.

Everything else that has been written or spoken about Almighty God that does not line up with LOVE, LIFE, and PEACE, is a LIE.

how can a god that tells "shall not kill" expect people to kill, steal, rape in "his" name and still the people consider "him" as god.

God of the Bible is the satan... just look at "Gods" special ones. If they are not proof that they are not of God but of satan, then I rest my case.

Well, we might have to disagree there :) I am perfectly imperfect and that's cool. But I do think there is PLENTY of room for improvement for us all. What's wrong with that? That's what makes the game fun and fulfilling!

Don't get me wrong - I don't mistake perfection for cloned individuals. I love the diversity in this world...but we could all surely become a bit more god-like....and I think that is what the OP was asking...What IS god-like?

Loving? Forgiving? Enthusiastic about this wonderful universe in which we live? Knowledgeable? Compassionate? Humorous?

Should we not all seek to become more knowledgeable about the world in which we live? In each other? Should we not seek to be compassionate to our fellow man? And to ourselves? Humorous to bring laughter to our brothers and sisters, and to laugh at ourselves? Forgiving to help ourselves find peace which in turn propagates to others? Loving in order to share the joy of life?
