Well, not really but it would be cool to see a stage production. The writer is Philip K. Dick. The movie is based on his book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Blade Runner focuses on the character Deckard, mostly. Still there is a lot of info left out that could offer an explaination to certain things viewed in the film.
