Indy News Caravan Needed in LA.!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning deeply disturbed about the oil spill going on in the Gulf and then an ingenious idea just hit me seemingly out of nowhere The whole idea must’ve come from the Gaza humanitarian aid flotillas and the amazing coverage they have gotten.

Media is obviously the key to getting out the truth about the real toll in the LA. oil spill and it’s high time for indie media to become active and activist in exposing the lies and MASSIVE MEDIA cover-up going on by billionaire oil companies who affectively seem to be working hand in glove with their buddies in the Obama administration, who have so far successfully suppressed the REAL truth about the depth, breadth and effect of this oil spill tragedy. The answer is for Independent news journalists and media organizations to link together for a: Caravan to the Oil spill!

1-What we need to do is get a caravan, (AND a flotilla and AND a flytilla) of independent (much of it internet based) media people to come together and ACTUALLY GO DOWN to New Orleans’ shores and waterways right now! “Armed” with video cameras, audio recorders, still shot cameras, text media and any other type of media possible. We will descend as CONVOYS of free media from neighboring states in vans, cars, boats and even planes. Independent journalists will also fly in from other states and other countries and then rent vans when they get to New Orleans (helping a flagging economy in the process).

The important thing here is that we all stick together like truckers used to do in the 1970’s bringing in cargo at high speed and watching out for “smokies” (cops) as we go down to the beaches, through byways and highways. However, not only journalists will join our convoy, so will ecological activists, doctors, oceanographers, biologists and scientists with measurement and testing devices– to get out the real stats.

We will go down there to DEMAND that we, the people be allowed to see the extent of the damage WITH OUR OWN EYES, the damage to our coastlines and sea. These are public beaches, the spill is in international waters, and no corporation owns them (not even Obamaco !). We DEMAND (not ask), that our first amendment rights to free speech and freedom of the press be respected and not violated as it is flagrantly being done currently.

2- as many of our video cameras as possible will be hooked up to live feeds via the internet that everyone will have access to 24/7. This is so that in the likely scenario of camera confiscation by hired corporate oil and coast guard thugs, the whole world will be watching and will see in front of their eyes precisely what is taking place. This will show without any shadow of a doubt who the guilty and criminal parties are in trying to cover up the extent of the oil spill damage in the gulf. It will be a public relations disaster for such parties to continue to engage in such activities, for each time they will do so, they will be exposed in front of live video feeds for all the world to see their unconstitutional actions.

Each Rolltilla van they turn back or confiscate will be fully taken by everyone else in the rolltilla as “an attack on all”, and all vans at such a point will immediately stop the convoy, get out of their vans and (in proximity) film whatever actions the “authorities” take as they approach the singled out van or vans. (Such video evidence can and will also be used in court cases later as proof of unconstitutional harassment !!!!)

3- Roltilla vans and cars (and boats) will be draped with banners such as “caraVans 4 oil spill truth”, “recording corporate oil thuggery,” “filming the real BP body count “, “stop gov’t & and corporate oil spill complicity”, and the like. It will be a good way to publicize to the general population the rolltilla (and floatilla) as we roll through neighborhoods, parishes and counties towards to beach to get the real truth out (–as well as film being and singled out for harassment by the “authorities” for such free speech banners). This banner idea is just that (an idea) and an individual choice, some might find it more beneficial to look “stealth”

The important thing here is to link all seekers of true information together enmasse as independent journalists FIRST AND FOREMOST to expose the media blackout on a massive scale and underscore seriousness of this oil spill. Our actions here are two fold: informational as well as that of conscious media activists. When we make it to the shore, we then line up miles and miles along the edge of the shore and take videos, stills, or sit down in the sand with our laptops and write articles. Many may bring signs as well, for surely the MSM will show up to see this one! This action again is two fold: one of reporting what is seen and the other is demonstrating enmasse this right. Some may pull out candles and hold a vigil for all the dead sea creatures we will surely see washing up, most likely including dead birds, fish, dolphins, whales, sea lions, seals and many, many other animals that are washing up by the busloads daily and being quietly carried away (out of sight-out of mind) to dumping grounds by the wonderful oil companies and their lovely, trustworthy Coast Guard cohorts.

4- Additionally this caravan will not be limited to people with journalism or some such other technical or social skills. Anyone can participate in this caravan! You are a United States citizen and you have a right to know what is happening to your shores and your oceans!(That includes non-American citizens also). Everyone right now has not only the right, but a duty to see for themselves the immensity of this tragedy and share the information with the world !!! What has happened is not only a incredibly sad, but a CRIME of the highest magnitude.
We MUST demand as well, that all the culprits behind this spill exposed, BE PUT BEHIND BARS FOR CRIMES AGAINST NATURE and HUMANITY, and be left to rot there until their end of days.

5- As terrible as this concurring oil tragedy is, it is also a golden opportunity for those of US who promote alternative energy to finally get US off our duffs and get this country off the foreign and domestic oil teet . The U.S. is the biggest consumer of crude oil in the world. As responsible well informed and concerned citizens, we will bring about a renaissance in alternative energy through informing people and lobbying at our local level for solar, wind, and ocean power, as well as pushing for electric cars (as well as bio fueled and other fueled vehicles) which will create thousands upon thousands of new jobs which our economy desperately needs anyway. As independent journalists, we will wage a MASSIVE education and PR campaign to promote this. How? Through an organization we will create called Indy Media For Alternative Energy

The media interest we will create, will galvanize the general public to put the full force of world opinion on the liars and thieves who would destroy our planet to save a pittance and then have the audacity to spend countless billions to try and cover up their crimes so that no one sees the extent of the damage they have caused!!!!! Indeed the whole planet shouldn’t hang in the balance because a handful of corporate thieves (and their government accomplices) attempt to suppress all true information to brush their crimes under the ocean floor!!!

6- This is our planet – ALL OF OURS. Nobody owns the earth. We have to start questioning the idea that just because some oil corporation (or any corporation for that matter) has billions of dollars, that they can effectively “own” parts of the earth, do as they please with it and then poison the rest of us without any repercussions! Planet earth is one interdependent organism and we are just as much a part –and dependent on it for life- as every other living creature (including oil executives!). If we stand around and bitch and then do nothing, then we are not only complicit in murdering our home, but indeed doomed. It’s time to wake up NOW AND DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7- By putting a spotlight on the real magnitude of this disaster we will already have accomplished several things:

A. We, having exposed the real health risks in breathing the air pollutants being brought up to the surface along with the oil such as hydrogen sulfide, benzene and naphthalene which are considered extremely dangerous to breath, (and to which even conservative government estimates now are showing being over as much as a 1000 percent over the deemed safe levels to breathe!!), could save hundreds – if not thousands – of human lives in and around the New Orleans by FORCING the government to declare it a DISASTER AREA evacuate those immediately who wish not to be exposed to these harmful chemicals to safer havens either inland or in neighboring states. (of course this will cost billions, but the long term cost in litigation would be far, far higher).

Having the real information out there for everyone to see will further impact the federal and local government to protect themselves against future lawsuits by FULLY INFORMING all citizens of the health risks involved in staying in the affected areas, either as the air quality worsens or as the ground water (a.k.a. drinking water) becomes contaminated over time.

B. Those hired by BP to clean up the mess in the ocean water will be fully informed as well of all the health risks they face and BP will be forced to pay compensation for any health complications that result. They will then be forced to give these workers the CORRECT protective gear (that they should have from the very beginning) in order to perform clean up operations safely (or as safe as possible under the circumstances). Additionally, government inspectors (with real teeth) will oversee and ensure that BP are following all safety procedures correctly (and that means all workers will be fitted with gas masks attached to oxygen tanks!).

C. This intense spotlight on the Obama Administration will FORCE them to work with well informed trouble shooting agencies from around the world who can TRULY brainstorm and assist in stopping this oil leak from spreading further as well as provide better access to the latest technology available around the world( including long suppressed Tesla technology and black ops technology developed within the US military that has long been officially denied but secretly used).

You don’t think they could stop this leak tomorrow if they really wanted to ? We can put a man on the moon but we can’t stop an oil leak?!!! Well just watch how fast that leak stops once our MASSIVE indy media caravan descends on New Orleans!

8- The cruel irony here of course is that the oil companies will profit tremendously from the increased road traffic brought on by our caravan. However, we can offset this “coup” on us by them simply by just pointing out the fact of how we’re all strapped to the tit of a gas tank. Additionally we will encourage everyone to bring as many biodiesel, hybrid, electric or water run vehicles into the convoy as possible. This, not only to cut into the big oil companies’ potential profits, but to provide visible and viable solutions as well as education to the general public.
