Dear disaffected Democrats: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our social tolerance delightful. However in exchange for this, you're going to have to find a way to be ok with people keeping their guns and more of their money.

Dear disaffected Republicans: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our small government economic policies to your liking. However in exchange you will have to find a way to be ok with "the gays" getting married.

Snacks are on the table, help yourself. Please introduce yourself to someone on "the other side", you might be astonished just how much you actually have in common.

Re: A Big "Thank You" to mockers from a Christian
In studying the Hebrew language, did you happen to learn that there is no “w” sound in Hebrew? That they used no vowels? This is the ineffable NAME ~ YHVH. YHWH is an incorrect translation, and transliteration is man changing the original; those scribes you mentioned.

Another post, because I somehow flew right past replying to this part.

If you look at my signature, you'll see the very first quote. This is how I operate. In order to live up to that tenant I hold so dear as well as honestly I want to reply ... no ... I did not.

Rabbis and Israelis have not shared this with me. In fact, quite the reverse. Granted (no offense) I must now research this on my own and validate the veracity of this (I'm sure you understand and no further explanation is needed). I have come to my conclusions by comparing (with the assistance of others) previously known names that use the same sequence of Hebraic letters and combining them. With the sheer volume of educated people in the ancient language, I seriously want to have a knee-jerk disagreement with your claim. However, I do not abide by personal bias.

Heh, you've created a moment of shaking foundation that has taken a priority for me. The name thing, I personally feel, is possibly the most important of any other study I will ever take. I have repented from calling my Elohim or my Messiyah by anything but their names.

I'm starting to think that maybe, when in discussions, I might have to include "God" or "Jesus" in parenthesis beside their names to prevent confusion. That alone might prevent the vast majority of "attacks" I'm currently subjected to from Christians.

Thank you for possibly correcting an error in my own studies and accepted facts. I can only hope you realize how much being "saved" from error means to me.

*big warm hug*
 Quoting: Phydeau

Awww...that is so sweet of you! Thank you.

However, outside of sharing, I can take no credit. The Truth is His.

We are all on our own personal journey. Getting there is grand, but I love to travel. Know what I mean? Company makes it all the better.

Here is something very interesting:

"Since ancient Hebrew did not use any vowel markings, the actual pronunciation of the Sacred Name is simply not known. In ancient Temple times, only the Kohen Gadol (high priest) would utter the Name during Yom Kippur.

The Jewish tradition is to not pronounce the Sacred Name at all, but to substitute the word Adonai ("my Lord") in Its place. So, when reading Torah, one does not attempt to vocalize the Name, but say Adonai instead. When not reading Torah or Siddur, most observant Jews refer to the Sared Name simply as Hashem or "the Name" (Leviticus 24:16).

In Hebrew, the Sacred Name is called Shem HaMeforash, "the ineffable Name." Attempts to provide exposition of the Name have come to be known as Shelosh Esreh Middot, or the Thirteen Attributes of God and are usually based on exegesis of Exodus 34:6-7 (mystical speculation abou the Name is found in Kabbalistic literature)."

Also, check this out from Bullinger on the Book of Esther (posted earlier). He truly was a scholar of scholars.

We want the Truth. That is why we spend so much time, energy, patience and fortitude on our studies. I want to be proven wrong, if I am wrong because I am working toward that glorious crown.

I don't sweep dirt under the rug when I clean my house. Why should I do it with His Truth?

One thing I have had to accept, as a teacher, is that I must communicate with others in their own language to be successful. I learned that the hard way.

As a mother, I had to teach my son according to his understanding, not mine. Our Father is the same way.

Life is a wonderful gift. I don't like to waste it.

And, hey, not all homosexuals and atheists are void of faith in their hearts. They are confused in their minds.

Only God can judge the heart, and He will have 1000 years of teaching before that Judgment. Many people don't have half a chance with all of the BS flowing through this world today.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 970343

But, God is the one who molds the hearts (according to scripture, anyway). Faith is a gift from Him, and "not of ourselves" - people can't just conjure it up on commmand.
I agree that most wouldn't have half a chance, if God were static and the whole operation hinged upon us. Fortunately, though, His ear is not deaf and His hand is not short. With Him nothing is impossible.

I can explain what I mean, since you have obviously misunderstood my comment.

Suppose the task at hand is to find the radius of a circle that has a circumference equal to 72pi.

I say the answer is r = 36. You have the choice to believe me, but you want me to prove how I came to that answer before you can believe me. I can show the verifiable steps I take to get to that answer.

The circumference of a circle is given by C = 2pi r, where r = radius of the circle.

Substitute C with 72pi to obtain the equation: 72pi = 2pi r.

Simplify ~ 72/2 = 36 and pi cancels, leaving 36 = r or r = 36.

I have just proven how I know the answer to that mathmatical problem.

To make broad statements in a discussion about a subject as serious as GOD or not, one should show the steps they take to their beliefs to be better received.

The entire idea of discussion is for some, if not all in the discussion, to find acceptable answers.

Did that help? Probably confused you even more.

 Quoting: Phydeau

Phydeay, these are some thoughts I had after watching this video, obviously from a Christian perspective.

A common mistake is to lump all of Israel into Judah. Judah, the Jews, are only one tribe. The Kingdom of Judah consisted of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin. The Northern Kingdom was the Ten Tribes (Joseph’s double blessing in Ephraim and Manasseh) that would be taken captive by Assyria. The Kingdom of Judah was taken by the Babylonians.

Hosea was a prophet to the Ten Tribes, or Northern Kingdom. Jeroboam (v. 1) was the first king of the northern Israelite Kingdom of Israel after the revolt of the ten northern Israelite tribes against Rehoboam that put an end to the United Monarchy. He is the one who continued Baal worship with his golden calves and high alters, which kept them from having to return to Jerusalem to worship. Hosea 1:2-3:5 is symbolical. Chapter 1 establishes the main prophecies of Hosea ~ the LORD punishing the Ten Tribes for their whoredoms.

Symbollically, Hosea is told to take a wife and children of whoredoms. The first child is a boy the LORD named Jezreel. The name Jezreel is a literary figure of speech called a paronomasia, (punning, playing with words) between Israel and Jezreel (Heb. Yisrael and Yizrel, respectively). Jezreel is a homonym, having two meanings: 1. may GOD scatter (Jer. 31:10) and 2. may GOD sow (Zech. 10:9). These are the two prophetic announcements to the Ten Tribes in Hosea. The Ten Tribes were scattered and sown among the nations, The Lost Ten Tribes. (Note: in v.5, the word bow means “iris”).

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without seraphim:
Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days. -Hosea 3:4-5

The second child born is a daughter the LORD names Lo-ruhama, which means “not beloved.” The third child born is a son, the LORD names Lo-ammi, which means “not my people” (vv. 6-9). In vv.6-7, we see that HE “will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel” but “will have mercy upon the house of Judah.” Israel had to rely on grace.

v. 10 looks forward to salvation through Yeshua Messiah:

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto thee, ‘Ye are not My People,’ there it shall be said unto them, ‘Ye are the sons of the living GOD.’

Ref. Revelaton 7, the sealing of the servants of the living God in the latter days.

v. 11 finishes out the prophecy of scatter and sow when the children of Judah and Israel are “gathered together and appoint themselves one head…” Reference Ezekiel 37:15-28 to read of the two sticks representing Judah and Israel being joined as one again.

One should be able to discern where the Ten Tribes are from this alone, in light of today’s international activity. The Ten Tribes are the Christian nations, and Israel became a nation again in 47/48.

Hosea 2 describes the whoredom and trouble from it in detail, the day of Jacob‘s trouble. Tell me that you can’t see the “I gots to gets mines” attitude that has swept our nation in that chapter. Therefore, v. 16 shows that there has been reconciliation with the Father through Yeshua Messiah. Judah is the king line. When the children of Israel return, they “seek the LORD and ‘David their king,’” which is the bloodline of Yeshua Messiah. This is all very prophetic and symbolical, as I said. Hosea 4:1-14:8 is the literal prophecies.

As Hosea was sent to guilty Israel, so Joel was sent to guilty Judah. Hosea relates to the end of the Northern Kingdom; Joel relates to the end of the Kingdom of Judah.

Also, for what it is worth, I couldn’t help but think of Bullinger’s teachings about Enos “Calling on the Name of the LORD.” (Gen. 4:26)

"Hence, the nearing of the great apostasy and the reason for so few chosen."

That saying has to do with the ones God had do things in the old and new Testaments, for the NT it is down to a single person only that has made it through the narrow gate, He is our guide, so we can relax in that if anybody can get us there it is Him, rather than the dolts that enter our daily lives. The path is a little more bumpy for the goats of Matt.25 than for the sheep. Not every-body was supposed to be saved at that time, the others have a slightly different role in the New Earth.

To have your questions answered, you can refer to the post I made with the example of a mathmatical equation.

I am an autistic. I can barely do math at a 4th grade level, if I have help.

If you want to explain to me in a way that I can personally understand, a mathematics answer will not help you.

Furthermore, from what I DO understand of your post, you think that he has to post all the method that he used to arrive at his conclusions, as if spirituality is science and can be proven by the method of arrival.

Yet the fact of spirituality is not a mathematical equation. Everyone's spiritual journey is, and has to be, different. Because everyone's life is different.
