That damn thing looks like that little tracking device they put in Neo in the Matrix.. LOL

I have no clue what that could be some sort of gauge or fuse for the BOP? It has a wire attached.

DUde, you wont see what Im talking about unless you load 2-3 minutes of the film and watch it in high speed.

Is that methane leaking out of the seabed??!?!?!?!?! alot of it?!?!?!??!

BINGO

If they are dead set on dispersant use then why wouldn't they be using both ROV's? Why would they let one lie on the floor of the gulf?

Yeah they look like strings but you can actually see the whisps of gas seeping out of the ocean floor, Good Catch on that one!

Maybe that is a meter of some kind to measure the levels of methane.

I remember now. The mind is getting old and forgetful. Check out my post in the middle of theis page.

Thread: oil coming from below the wellhead now (Page 8)

This occured right when the LMRP cap had a large gush of oil out of it and things wint nuts on the sea floor for a couple of hours.
There's always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet, and the only way these people can get on with their happy lives is that they DO NOT KNOW ABOUT IT!

This aint good why does the LMRP seem to be square with the BOP now? [link to mfile.akamai.com]

Oh that's because the BOP is now leaning so far over they match.

I'm thinking the seafloor shot is to monitor how quickly it is rising.

She's getting ready to POP!

Re: SUBSEA 7 seems to have found something on the sea floor
I can definetely concurr with the whisps of something coming out of the seabed. I have been watching on and off for the last 8 hrs and I thought that I was just imagining this. The other thing that I have noticed, and I wondered if this was because of the dispersants, large glutenous thread like substances but too large for underwater life and quite white (not transparent). Is this gas in a solid form because of the dispersant?

I was watching the www.jtnog.org BP video feeds yesterday as one of the rovers scouted around and found something. The rover hasn't moved in over 24 hours.

It must be something interesting to somebody...

what do you think it is?

Grumble.... I have been posting on this for two days now. HELLO!? Anyone out there?

You are watching the sea floor cave in... live. A couple of days ago there was a crack.... then the area closest to the rover started to sink.... 1".... then 5".... now a couple of feet? I have been keeping video and will try to get a compilation up sometime on Monday along with some other shots of fissures and vents that I have picked up from the rovers over the last 48 hours.

The object... I think is some type of sensor... perhaps gas or temperature... dunno.

You can see small globs of oil or other effluents leaking out... there have always been a few but starting Saturday afternoon, there started to be more and they are much larger.

I believe a major section or more of the sea floor around the bop is caving in... the globs are an indicator of what we can't see.

Good to see that you and others are watching this... we need lots of eyes on this and video... capture all the video possible.

We may be getting close to a major event and we will want to be able to show what happened -- which may be different than what BP or the Coast Guard want to tell the public.

OK man, we agree then, however you can only see the transparent vapour if you run the video at high speed. I captured a high speed movie of this but dont know how to upload it. You cant see anything if you let it run normally. The gas vapour is invisible to thw eye and you can only see the vapour trails under high speed. This isnt a contest about who got there first ;)

I understand... I play back the video at high speed so I can view hours in minutes and it is easy to see most of them that way -- and in regular motion, it looks totally different.

A few of them come out thick as cow snot even in regular play back... red, brown... nasty. All you can think of is 'ewwww...' when those slide on out...

Somethin' is up... I have been on this since the first week and have thousands of hours of footage -- the fissures, plumes... gobs of snot... all have increased significantly in the last 24-48 hours.

Run the slider on this video back and forth real fast...

The rov is move a bit by the current.

All I see on the vid is fish crap floating by and some minor dusting from the stuff the rove has in its let gripper making a disturbance in the sea floor kicking up small amounts off sea floor muck. I'm not convinced yet.

the object is being held in the "left hand" scooper. looks like it may have a wire connected to it leading off to the right. You can see this while scrubbing the footage for high-speed effect...

Re: SUBSEA 7 seems to have found something on the sea floor
Everything I see convinces me it is dipersant hose and connector. The far right end of the object it is holding can be seen to be one of the wire 'tong' like handles the rov's use on some of their tools. Not the T handle type. As far as the white dust, starting at 1:58 you will notice the right side of the part that is dragging in the muck. At that time some of the muck that has been built up ahead of it's movement now crumbles into the groove behind it and Voila!! there is suddenly a 'plume' of white stuff coming up.

Those coordinates are not made from a GPS system. Other ways such as subsea radio triangulation are used. You can't get a GPS signal don that far under water. The systems will have some 'error' in it.
