Lunar eclipse tonight!!!

Out of curiosity...since were all up anyway...am I the only one who is experiencing...the need for less sleep? I just dont fall asleep as of the past couple weeks. I sleep like 5 out of 7 days, the other 48 hours I literally dont sleep and I feel fine.

So it doesnt look like the blood dripping pictures from the national geographic site?

I sleep 4 hrs a day. Use to sleep 8 or 9. Feel more rested now. Strange!!

I got a couple..but no eclipse..I know I suck..

Well I for one am disappointed. Nothing to see over the rockies...just another day, the sun is rising as usual with out the moons presence.

Not at all. It's a plane white moon. It's full with the a little more than half taken off the top. I think its starting to go back to normalcy now.

Clear skys here in NZ(Auckland), moon is almost directly above, and the eclips looks to be in almost in its full force, been up almost an hour, bout an hour and a bit to go....according to stellarium.

If i known earlier the time i would have pulled out the telescope to get a better view and perhaps some pics, (oh well)

There was too much cloud cover here in CO. I brought my camera and tripod. I finally saw it at 5:05 setting between the clouds and the mountains. It had a nice big chunk out of the top. By the time I got my camera out and powered up it was mostly set. Couldn't tell it apart from the building lights in the view screen. I forgot to turn the flash off, and the flash drained what was left of my crappy batteries. I thought I had one pic, but I didn't get it. It was gone in just a few minutes. Darn.
