"Unprecedented" fish kill in Jacksonville for 2 weeks "not related to annual cycle"; "Lesions in the brain… point to toxicity
[link to www.floridaoilspilllaw.com]

If you think the month-long fish kill on the St. Johns River is an annual event that just came early this year — think again.

That’s the message that two men with close ties to the river want you to know. …

“This kill is unprecedented,” he said. He explained that fish kills due to low oxygen levels are typically confined to smaller areas, not as widespread as the problem has become. …

He said they found lesions in the brains of some redfish. “I’m not sure what else,” White said.

That, White says, points to toxicity. …

White said that he’s received reports from the area of the Rudder Club — adjacent to the Buckman Bridge — of water birds that mainly eat small fish regurgitating stomach contents. …

Regardless of the results of the tissue sampling, White said that the prognosis isn’t something the public is going to want to hear.

“There will be no quick or easy solution” to whatever is happening. Identifying the problem isn’t likely to make it go away.

I love it how these bullshitters act like they are all mystified by the "unexplained" mass die off, (and IGNORE the 450 trillion ton pink elephant in the gulf) yet oil and dispersant is somehow not part of the equation. Get fucking real, you idiots, NO ONE is that stupid. Except the assholes that put this nonsensical lying crap out.

From ED TV (1999)

I feel that Ed (TV) is the apotheosis of a prevailing American syndrome. It used to be that someone became famous because they were special. Now people are considered special just for being famous. Fame, itself, is now a moral good in this country. It's its own virtue.

I live in Broward county and have noticed some plant life dying that I don't think should be.

Palm trees all have brown dead leaves on the lower parts.

Seems to me some species of plants are going to be more sensitive to Corexit 9500 and oil dissolved in the rain waters.

BP = Bitter Poison, Bottomless Pit

Millions are going to die from this, poisonous water and death rain and clouds of toxic gas coming over land killing millions at a time.

We live in Florida -- should we stop eating all fish? I don't know where Publix gets its fish, nor the local restaurants...

I'm in south florida.

I won't eat any fish or seafood.

I won't allow rain water to get on me.

I won't go in the ocean.

Soon, clouds of toxic gasses will come and make many of us very sick.

You still don't understand.

They are doing this to force you to comply. If you don't comply, the insane will keep causing destruction of your environment and life. They may just keep doing it until there are 500 million people left. What are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about it?

It's Georgia-Pacific’s mill outside Palatka,they've been
dumping their Shit into Rice Creek wich flows into the St.johns.

Thirty years ago nobody paid attention and the Creek
was one of the most polluted waterway's in Florida..

Let's see, boats dissolving in gulf, one thrid of boats lost
fish dieoffs, brain lesions from toxicity. Bitter waters
keep an eye on frogs, they are the best markers for environmental changes, if the frogs go, everything soon follows.
How will this affect unborn human fetus, when it's gets in the water table?

and surfers. i live in and surf jax beach. so this is firstly nothing new with some of our favorite spots being among the dirtiest surf breaks in the country.

jacksonville is FL's only industrial city, meaning that all the other cities here depend on something other than production and industry. some are tourism centered. some agriculture centered. some military. so if we're the only industrial city, we're also the most polluted.

but this is nothing new as a previous poster points out. couple of years back it was revealed that after WWII the USM dumped their excess chemical warfare components in the ocean. bombs had been washing up here and there and finally someone connected the dots.

so if it isn't one thing its another.

the beaches here are already pretty dirty to, just from trashy people, runoff, etc.
