Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
Every time I get into the "zone" for more then one or two days I start experiencing this GAWD AWEFUL wrestles legs syndrome in my legs and arms. It feels like I am crawling out of my skin and is completely unbearable. It is worse then a muscle cramp.

I have experienced all sorts of unpleasant symptoms before, this is not what I am talking about. I can wade through pain and nightmares with out much trouble.. this is UNBEARABLE!

So I push past it and the further I go the worse it gets. It gets so bad that it starts up just thinking about it.

Does anyone know what it is? How to solve this?

I want to proceed, but after last night I did everything I could do today to numb out and fall back to "sleep," back into the false world. The despair over this dilemma is going to kill my soul.

i used to get serious restless leg syndrome, but after taking reiki tummo courses, i dont get it much. sometimes, the tail bone hurts too much (kundalini kicking in) and i get it again (rare though). i know a lot of women get this (I'm a woman and I've noticed this in a lot of women). rarely see it in a man though.

it was in reiki tummo level 2 that they opened my kundalini and with time, the rls diminished to not as often. sometimes during meditation, i get it bad and i want to kick my legs and scream, i guess that's a clue to slow down.

You have aroused your inner Demon. This is good, specially if you want to get rid of him (exorcise)it. But you better know the plan of action. You should have someone with experience/knowledge assisting you. Its Dangerous!
I was starting on the same involuntary leg/arm movements it took two years to leave, not sure of the evil spirit. I Stopped that form of meditating. I pray more often instead of Indian/Tabithan Chants

Just knowing it happens to others it helpful. "Slow down"? In what way?

You went to classes on this? "reiki tummo level 2" I live in the country and can't go to the city for classes. Can you explain what they did there? This was someone else working on you?

I dont think RLS has anything to do with the spiritual part of our body, or has anything to do with meditating, my Mom had it all her life, and she didnt even know what enlightenment ment, or even yoga,, it was just a physical thing

:Silly-MG: I have a deep sense of it being an energy movement issue. This resonates.

when you meditate, you are focusing awareness. That in turn can raise your energy , vibrations and state of conciousness. All things in life have a path, a flow and like nature itself is cyclical.
Energy taken in must have a way out in order to flow.
Ways of accomplishing that are
1 share the energy, giving it an outflow by conversing with others. When we talk we are letting out energy.
Also we being spirit (we are not the body we came into) tend to go where are attention is.
2. go get laid, allow yourself to be merely human to balance out the higher state.
If you have good inflow, but no out flow, the energy dies or comes out in other ways less nice.
3. poetry and music, the writing and playing allows it to come out.
Perhaps you need to look at your balance. You may need to meditate less. Likely you are being to positive and blowing yourself out. In my 20s my guru( a real on)told me to go be negative a bit.
Best wishes.

Hey, I have about 2% laptop battery left, so I will try to look at this tomorrow (but more likely the next day, as I am on the road).

What is very probably happening is that your Qi is starting to move. It's nothing to freak out about, but it sure feels like you're getting parkinson's or something...

More later.
Cheers.

Yes bingo. When I tap in.. it is some serious charge! In my late teens I meditated for one week, taped into something so huge I did not try again for 30 some years. This wls starts after feeling/hearing a vibration/hum.

I also think it might be connected to a nutrition/chemical thing.

I really appreciate the feed back folks.

It's all good.I meditated for a few years and had a one time I guess premature kundalini release once at a retreat.

It only lasted for 15 mins. but it felt like I was going to burn up.I had some other things happen that week also.

this may sound odd...

but...everyone is afflicted with foriegn entities to some extent ....

when a person is actually 'walking the path' that very few do..then..at that time, the other entities that are hitchin a ride INSIDE you...which are parasitic...well..these 'things' know that their days are numbered and they can't stand the level you are going to...and they start freaking out...

you will only be free of this when you can remain in your meditation...AND LET IT PASS FROM YOU.

any mental reaction on your part to the disturbance allows the 'things' to stay within you.

you must learn more mental discipline when 'it' occurs and be still and continue in your mediations and LET IT PASS out of you.

the foregoing is the absolute truth...there is no need to fear in the least...and ..after you let it pass...there will be many many more tests within you in the future...this is milestone for you to get through...

good luck , you are on the true path.

and NO, it is NOT the kundalini awakening...

learning to breathe 'it' out...is the most effective way to deal with 'it'...

it will pass out of you...and you will KNOW IT without any doubt...

again. Good luck and don't stop meditating.

You need to purify your nadis in your body using diet (no milk, fish, meat or egg products or anything grown in the ground) and pranayama. Go get some instruction in doing yoga purification practices combined with breath retention (1:4:2 ratio). After you have practised these consistently and with application for a few months, you will develop lightness of being and your practise with move forward with ease..
