Check in all the abandoned wells on the sea floor in the gulf in a couple of months and I bet you will find oil. The leak is most likely spreading out below the visible portion of the sea floor into cracks, fissures, and abandoned wells. Eventually the entire sea floor will be covered in oil, but you will most likely never see it since no one will be allowed to investigate it.

That means the oil pressure has been reduced since it has found alternate paths and reduced the overall pressure.
