Cops May No Longer Respond to Crime in Oakland, California
For those who live in oakland , you better buy some ammo and guns and get ready for crime rates to soar through the roof.

Forget about police assistance in Oakland, California

“Oakland’s police chief is making some dire claims about what his force will and will not respond to if layoffs go as planned,” reports NBC Bay Area. “Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers will no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, car wrecks, identity theft and vandalism. He says if you live and Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know on-line.”

In other words, if you live in the Bay area, you need to have a gun and plenty of ammunition. Because the cops just said they will no longer respond if criminals kick down your door. The bad guys no longer have anything to worry about.

Not that Oakland’s government wants you to protect yourself. In February, Oakland’s city council unanimously approved a measure requiring a thumbprint for all ammunition purchases. It also voted to enforce strict permit requirements for the sale of firearms and ammunition.

In California, you’re on your own. Not that cops ever had an interest in protecting the citizenry. Cops are increasingly nothing but organized and uniformed shakedown gangs. Generating revenue for cash-starved municipalities is Job One for many police departments. Cops are instructed to write tickets. Protecting the community comes is a distant second.

As society crumbles under the weight of the engineered economic depression, more and more police departments will follow Oakland’s example.

Best be locked and loaded if you don’t want to be a victim

(7/13/2010)
Oakland city officials and police union leaders were unsuccessful Tuesday in their attempts to reach a last-minute agreement by a 5 p.m. deadline to prevent the layoffs of 80 of the city's 776 officers.

The City Council voted June 25 to eliminate 80 police officer positions to help close the city's $32.5 million funding gap.

Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said OPD wasn't counting on a last-minute agreement, so officers who were slated to be laid off came into police headquarters earlier Tuesday to turn in their equipment and fill out paperwork.

The talks hit an impasse over job security.

The union agreed to have officers contribute 9 percent of their pension costs but in return asked for a guarantee that no officers hired before March 21, 2009, when four officers were killed by a wanted parolee, be laid off for the next three years. The city said it couldn't make such a guarantee because of its precarious budget situation.

City leaders had been meeting with the police union for more than a month to try to get the union to contribute 9 percent of the cost of their retirement benefits. Other city employees contribute that amount to their pension costs, city of Oakland spokeswoman Karen Boyd said.

Oakland City Administrator Dan Lindheim said the two sides exchanged "a flurry of offers" during lengthy meetings on Monday and exchanged more offers and counteroffers Tuesday.

But he said city leaders believe that the union "essentially didn't respond" to the city's last offer.

Oakland Police Officers Association President Dom Arotzarena wasn't immediately available for comment.

0612043 We are just soooo doomed.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman].
STOCK UP NOW. You should have at least 6 months worth of basics for every member of your household. Stay away from crowds when trouble starts, do not forget water storage, tobacco is worth more than gold or silver, and be kind to hungry children.

Re: Cops May No Longer Respond to Crime in Oakland, California
Soon there will be crime runnuning rampant in Oakland and the cops will just sit by and watch .

I would say that all citizens in oakland need to get a gun and be prepared to start removing the criminals from the city.

After 100 or so are put down from lead poisoning the cops may get the message.
