Of course, there´s also the fact that posters here just want to fight, not debate a subject based on facts. The moment you post something in slight disagreement with the accepted "belief" of the thread in question the name calling and insulting of your mother begins.

But back to topic. Yoda, when I first came here it was different, maybe not exponentially so, but a little. I came here to use it I guess as a kind of newsboard. Not so much anymore, like you said-Jerry Springer.

In the span of just a few months it´s gone completely into worthless predictions and other such things.

Oh well, there´s still some things of interest. (if you can get away from the Prophet Yahweh nonsense, that is.)

I came here during the Nancy/Zeta thing after hearing her/them on C2C one night. Came here wanting to see what it was about and if anyone really believed it. (To my suprise many did)
Back then there was a lot of talk on many of the subjects Yoda listed. Sometimes the discussions got out of hand but for the most part you could hold a reasonable debate.
But now it´s impossible. Now if you come from a different angle your a nazi, redneck or some sort of paid govt. shill (still trying to find out where you sign up for that).

Perhaps I spoke too soon. I only found GLP a month or two ago, and so I assumed it was always like this.

Communities do change over time as people leave and others arrive.

The signal to noise ratio seems pretty low here. Still, we managed to have a decent little peak oil thread the other day.
