The earthqukes have ranged from 6.0-magnitde to 7.0-magntude. Digital Journal reportd n Wednsday of strong 6.3-magnitude earthquake that rocked the State of Alaska in the United States. Prior to Alaska’s strong sismic activity, there were two earthquakes: a 6.0-magnitude temblor in Fiji and a 6.4-magnitude quake in Papua New Guinea. The South Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea was once again struck by a powerful 7.0-magnitude, according to the United States Geological Survey. There have been no reports of aftershocks and no tsunami warming has been issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. The latest earthquake in Papua New Guinea was located 45 miles (75 km) .... 355 miles (570 km) n...region experienced a 6.0-magnitude earthquake. The temblor was located 350 miles (570 km) southwest of the Kuril Islands and 480 miles (775 km) northeast of Kushiro, Japan. The depth of the quake was measured at 20.9 miles (33.6 km)...." (by A.
