With the dollar falling again it appears we're going to be looking at hyperinflation. If that's the case will home prices go up drastically?

Maybe eventually

But With such a stock of homes sitting, dead in the water,
Not likely to go up any time soon.
Except in high demand areas.

Down for beige boxes, up for farms. Too much excess supply being hidden on the Fed's balance sheet. People can live in cardboard boxes but they have to eat.

All available money will go for food.

I could see how commodities would go up but housing will stay flat if not comtinue to decline.

house price will continue downwards in a inflationary eviroment due to over-capacity and un-willingness to lend
on assets in a declining market by the banks.

House prices will go up as the dollar drops, if there is hyperinflation. For example, if a loaf of bread costs $10,000, a house would cost at least $1 million.

But those would be wacky hyper-inflated dollars.

They may go up but it wont mean anything because everything else will go up. Look at Zimbabwe a loaf of bread now costs 1.6 trillion dollars.

So your house tipples or quadruples in price but so does your gas, food, living expenses, and everything else.

Depends on location. McMansions and tract houses will loose value - farms, large acreage and houses with an acre or more will hold value or increase slightly.
When the dollar tanks, alot of people will be growing their own food (a few chickens and maybe a pig and goat or two).
Property outside the city on an acre or larger will be very sought after.

Seriously, people could be living in boxes if housing prices go up with wages continuing to tank.
