This guy only eats hunted raw fat/meat/organs and his body is amazing. He eats no fruit, veggies, processed food, and doesn't even go to the grocery store, he only orders extra rare steak if he eats out. He hunts bears and other animals and eats the natural way. He does the p90x/insanity workout...and check out his results. He also gives great advice abouth his diet. He claims his body heals much faster as well from only eat fats and meat. I believe him.

so this is pretty much like the Attkins diet all the protein and fat, just no carbs, but I went on that diet and had a full blown heart attack at 52

One more question. What are you eating for fiber intake. Seems to me you might end up fairly constipated on this diet?

I think gout comes via high beef intake.

You don't need that much beef.
There are so many things to eat to avoid gout if you are sensitive to it.

Low glycemic foods also help one lose and maintain weight.

However, since my adrenals are wacked out and produce too much cortisol, even the strictest Atkins phase does not budge fat off me (and I feel like crap with eating very few carbs). So, I have to resort to eating very little, and taking Stimerex in order to get the weight off that my adrenals put back on me. I've lost almost 4 pounds of the 13 that blew back on me thanks to my adrenals.

Well, so far I've lost more than 2 1/2 pounds in 9 days on this diet. After ages of not shifting a gram, that is encouraging. I feel tons better too staying at or below 20 carbs. Lets see if it maintains.

Also I found him on this carnivore forum, his name is bearslayer on there:

In some of his posts he talk about his poor upbringing, having to kill rabbits and other animals for food so he doesn't have the emotional reactions most of would have, since he was raised to hunt, kill, and prepare animal organs and meats from a young age.

He also talks about how we're all pretty much brainwashed from the start by society to separate animals into categories, but if we we're all really hungry and had to eat, most likely our beloved pets would be the first to go. lol

Also part of his muscles and body change is from p90x/insanity workout programs, not just the diet, which is why he posted his results on the beachbody forum. I'm unsure of how long he's been on the diet. I think he got in the habit of trying to eat normal people do for a long time..but it just made him fat.

Re: If you want to be thin and stay thin (and avoid Metabolic Syndrome), then you have to eat high fat
Its been a breeze to keep the carbs at 20. But I'm having difficulty keeping protein at 70, and fat up to at least 200. I can barely get it to 100. Fortunately I exercise every day, that helps burn access protein. So far, this going great!

I like cooking, but this change in eating style seems to gonna take a lot of preparation each day... Not just quickly make some sandwiches for lunch. It's the meal that's hardest for me: I'm always at client's homes eating, have to bring lunch and can't sit down having a elaborate meal... gotta find some rolls and fritatas for that or something...

Re: If you want to be thin and stay thin (and avoid Metabolic Syndrome), then you have to eat high fat
It’s been too easy to adapt to this kind of eating, although my body is still adjusting.
I’m still eating the foods I already had in the fridge/freezer (mainly carbs from vegs and yogurts) but I already introduced fat in high quantities. My body must be perplexed! LOL! But I’m loving it! After years of fat starvation the feeling of freedom is rather sweet. It takes a leap of faith to jump into all those recipes full of cream, butter, mayo and other self prohibited (!) foods but I’m envisioning them in my near future with anticipation.
On the other hand, from what I’ve been reading on this thread and elsewhere originally this eating plan is based more on offal and meat organs than on muscle meat. In my case that is a plus because here that kind of meat is really very cheap and since many Portuguese traditional recipes use them I’ve no problem to incorporate them in my daily meals.
I’m eating over than 20g of carbs but after eating all the food I already had I’m going to try not to go over that amount. I’ve no problems with the amount of protein and the same with fat although I still need to force myself to eat it, which is understandable giving the way I used to eat.
Another good thing with this eating plan is that I never feel hungry and I only eat three times a day (not five or six as I used to) which for me is the best because this way I’m not always thinking about food.
My weight is going down every day, slowly, but as I said my body is adjusting which happens every time I change my diet.

I have a question, for Sc0rpi0n or anyone else. I always weigh/count protein/fat/carbs for every food I eat but I’m wondering if the 20g carb figure Sc0rpi0n uses is only from vegs or not. Eggs, some cheese, some meat, nuts, coffee and so on all have carbs. Are we suppose to count them or not? And do we count NET carbs only or total carbs (fiber)?

Re: If you want to be thin and stay thin (and avoid Metabolic Syndrome), then you have to eat high fat
I want to add a couple of thoughts after reading a few of the recent posts.

-when going out to eat, try to find out ahead of time whats on the menu. know your options. for example, i'm going out to lunch with my co-workers. At first I was worried because it would ruin my diet for the day. but i went to the resturants website and checked out the nutrional info. and located the lowest carb. meal turns out its steak & grilled shrimp. 2 carbs, sweet. I'll have water & maybe a side of veggies! those salads are deceptive.

-I'm tracking total carbs for everything I eat. I setup a spreadsheet. I use it to total the nutrional info & it helps me to plan the day. So I have planned breakfast thru mid afternoon snack and can see I need 800 cal., 100 fat, 8 carbs left (i'm targeting about 30 grams not 20) & I'm over on amount of protein (dooh!) by 24 g. So for dinner I need to eat something high in cal. & fat and low in carbs/prot.
thats tough I guess i'll need to eat butter! lol.

Re: If you want to be thin and stay thin (and avoid Metabolic Syndrome), then you have to eat high fat
The diet I followed for years was similar to Atkins diet, except that I ate a cheese sandwich at lunch and had protein meals for breakfast and dinner. The rule I followed was more based on another diet theory I'd read about at age 17 and followed ever since, that you should never mix carbs and proteins/fats at same meal or within 4 hours. Bread and cheese was fine, bread, milk, together etc, fine. But meat and potatoes, No, meat and bread, no. Meat by itself with salad greens or vegetable, yes, but not meat and fruit at same meal. Eggs, butter, sausage, bacon together fine, but no toast, cereal or hash brown potatoes. Citrus juices only with the meat meal, not with the carb meal. Whole fruits with cereal and toast, yes. If you have cereal and toast, then no butter or cream. It was very natural and simple to follow. It eliminated having gas, and I never had a weight problem.

Re: If you want to be thin and stay thin (and avoid Metabolic Syndrome), then you have to eat high fat
I've been dieting for a month now.

No soda's, no bread, no processed foods. Eating mainly fruits vegetables and some meat.

I drink water and tea with stevia--no sugars.

I'm avoided external chemicals.

I was pretty excited thinking about all the weight I would lose on this diet, but unfortunately I have only lost one pound.

I go up and down 1-2 pounds every couple of days.
Its extremely frustrating that I gave up so much food I enjoy and now eat food I don't enjoy (I'm not a big fruit and vegie lover).
I've tried days when I hardly eat at all, just an apple or slice of cantaloupe for breakfast, a light lunch--maybe a slice of ham and salad, and then no dinner --(I work nights)--I'll have a handful of trail mix before work to help the hunger pains, or a boiled egg.

On these days I will lose a pound, but the pound comes back the next day, if I try to eat a little more because I'm starving!

I want to give up, but I'll keep going, even though I'm not losing weight but because I know health wise it's better.

What fats/proteins are healthy? Only eating vegies is going to kill me because I don't like them and I force them down, which is making me really hate meal time.

This morning I ate a raw carrot for breakfast.--that was tolerable.
