It’s been too easy to adapt to this kind of eating, although my body is still adjusting.
I’m still eating the foods I already had in the fridge/freezer (mainly carbs from vegs and yogurts) but I already introduced fat in high quantities. My body must be perplexed! LOL! But I’m loving it! After years of fat starvation the feeling of freedom is rather sweet. It takes a leap of faith to jump into all those recipes full of cream, butter, mayo and other self prohibited (!) foods but I’m envisioning them in my near future with anticipation.
On the other hand, from what I’ve been reading on this thread and elsewhere originally this eating plan is based more on offal and meat organs than on muscle meat. In my case that is a plus because here that kind of meat is really very cheap and since many Portuguese traditional recipes use them I’ve no problem to incorporate them in my daily meals.
I’m eating over than 20g of carbs but after eating all the food I already had I’m going to try not to go over that amount. I’ve no problems with the amount of protein and the same with fat although I still need to force myself to eat it, which is understandable giving the way I used to eat.
Another good thing with this eating plan is that I never feel hungry and I only eat three times a day (not five or six as I used to) which for me is the best because this way I’m not always thinking about food.
My weight is going down every day, slowly, but as I said my body is adjusting which happens every time I change my diet.
