BREAKING: Governor Bobby Jindal declares state of emergency possibly until September 9th!!!

As discussed in the article “Atlantic hurricane highway is about to see some traffic”, the low pressure trough has turned into a tropical depression. If Tropical Depression #5 can reach wind strength of at least 39 mph, it will become Tropical Storm Danielle. There is a chance that the cyclone could become a hurricane. If the tropical storm winds reach 74 mph it will be reclassified as a hurricane and should reach this status just before making landfall.

Governor Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency for Louisiana around 6:30 Tuesday evening. This was necessary because of the cyclone track showing the system will pass over the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill site which is 48 miles off the Louisiana coast. Unless terminated sooner, the emergency declaration will remain in effect until September 9th.
