Monsanto EVP and Nalco (Corexit) Director are the same person

Nalco may or may not ring a bell for you, as they keep a relatively low profile, but if you’ve been paying even passing attention to BP’s apocalypse in the Gulf of Mexico, then you’ve probably heard of their product, Corexit.

Corexit is more toxic, and less effective than most of the other dispersants BP could be using. In fact, BP continues to use it weeks after the EPA demanded that they stop using it. As of May 22, 670,000 gallons of Corexit had been sloshed into the Gulf of Mexico.

Now let’s bring Monsanto back into the story.

It just came to my attention that Carl M. Casale is Monsanto’s Executive Vice President as well as Nalco’s Director.
