Is an evolutionist an atheist ? I dont believe they have to be one in the same. But you are free to give your spin on this issue.

Re: Is an evolutionist an atheist ?
No, I suppose you could still believe that "God" personally controls the various mutations or viral DNA resequencing responsible for the mechanism of evolution, rather than leaving it up to randomness. Random mutation and viral resequencing works just fine to explain evolution, though. No God required.

Re: Is an evolutionist an atheist ?
The evidence for evolution is undeniable.

It is mostly the very beginnings and the specifics of the mechanisms that are still under question (as with any science, not everything is known yet).

So many non-atheists like to believe that "god" started things off and "uses" evolution to guide "creation".

Personally, I donīt see why this "god" is needed at all. But if you watch the discussions between the creationists and evolutionists, you will see that many of the evolutionists are non-atheist.

*No That Would Be An "Ethiest" !! ... Hee Hee Hee !!! (A Little Zeta Humor There !!) ... But Seriously ... It Is My Suspecion/Theory ... That One Could Have Many "Variations On A Theme" !! ... They Could Be Both At The Same Time ... This Could Be Seperate & Complete Thoughts Altogether !! ... Or Even Bits & Parts Of Other Things Mixed !! ... So There Are Many Possibilities !!

I personally have never understood why some people thing "God" is needed to start things off. We know that time is not necessarily linear. Itīs perfectly reasonable to assume that the universe began as a result of reverse-time cause and effect sequence. That is, the future created the past.

People are so fucking unimaginative.

Re: Is an evolutionist an atheist ?
No. Evolution does not mean God does not exist. The concept of creationism is extremely flawed.
