Driving From San Antonio to Portland. Camping along the way. Any suggestions?

highway 97 when you get close to Oregon

Moab, Utah. Go to the Scenic Bypass at Moab. Great camping at Onion Creek
Yellowstone of course

There is a Portland in Texas too, but the scenery is better the way your going.

stay away from the lyme disease parasites.
they will stay with you for life and cost $$$$ to separate from them.

also

take iodine for clean water.(bet you knew that).
take silver water for stuff to eat in question.
take hydrogen perioxide ...few drops for cleaning meats, etc.
orange oil drops might help to clean too.
orange oil for running off some bugs.
i use as a spray too.

Carry a loaded hi powerd hand gun. On that route, which I have taken, there are: many ruthless asshole people who will rob you.

In camping areas, there are hungry bears, coyotes, bobcats, and more.

Worry more about the human assoles. They will kill you for 20 bucks.

I've been all over the country, driving, hitchhiking, backpacking.. in the deep woods and mountains, and I've never had any problems.

Most high pass roads in colorado will close around October though. Probably don't want to come through Colorado in the winter. When are you leaving?
