Architects of the drill, co-ordinated by the Attorney-General's Department, will not outline the cyber game scenario, organised by the US Department of Homeland Security. Officials were concerned about maintaining the exercise's security, a department spokesman told The Sunday Age. Nor would he say when the exercise begins, although The Sunday Age believes it is imminent. read entire article at link above or original source [link to www.theage.com.au] ------------------ The inference in that article is that the drill named CYBER STORM will occur in the US not just downunder. My guess is that the plans for this were drawn up at least a decade ago for the details of this supposed drill to be surfacing now. and perhaps I am reading too much into this. Wow..first I've heard of that..thanks for the heads up.. Cyber Storms I and II, in 2006 and 2008, resulted in virtual chaos. The first was based on a scenario in which a coalition of anti-globalisation activists attacked US and Canadian computer systems. The attacks cut power supplies, disrupted ports and airlines, and compromised intelligence communications. [link to www.theage.com.au] |

They're gonna say a terrorist broadcasts a message that is executed on everybody's pda, laptop, desktop, cell phone, psp, television and all other devices that a man is controlling the world wide web and that the message was broadcasted 4 hours previous to the one people actually see and say all terrorists have commanded viewers to shut dodwn all internet services or be apart of us. The government will say everyone is a criminal to the nation and martial law is declared and all income is depleted so China will invade and collect there debt. Everyone will get the death penalty. The only people that will survive are a group of 5 million names that will be selected based on there life to be full time slaves and the elite powers that be. The nephilim will than move here and kill the elite to make a utopia for themselves. Quoting: CypherJuly 13, 2010 Could the NSA's new "Perfect Citizen" actually be used for spying on every citizen in the U.S.? <Snip> The next step: no more privacy? If Perfect Citizen really is a series of sensors that monitor cyber-attacks, it's easy to envision how this same network could be used for monitoring everyday citizens. With any NSA program, communication is a one-way street, noted Nigam. There won't be any new official information about the Perfect Citizen program, so it's left to the experts to hypothesize about what it really is -- and the true nature of the program, he says. They have. And they're worried about what the NSA is planning. For starters, there's a Wired.com report that claims the NSA has teamed with Homeland Security to get around any legal entanglements, hinting at a justification for spying on U.S. citizens. And a story in The Economist declares a new cyberwar that involves secret cyber-weapons and cyber-armies from Iran, North Korea, and Russia attacking utility companies and the grid. [link to www.foxnews.com] ahhhhh.. Folks, I hate to bring this to your attention BUT. Have you taken a look around your cities lately? Really looked at who's sitting next to you in teh restaurants and cafes, going to college with your kids. Does the word - Chinese - mean anything to you. (not to mention the absolute BUTLOAD of Russians that immigrated after the wall fell. There's a reason, OBVIOUSLY why they friggin want to spy. Because they have NO FRIGGIN idea who they FRIGGIN let into the country!!!!!!!!! But, I believe they might be getting a clue.... and of course, they are crapping in their shorts - because they have been naive and foolish in just sooooo many ways - It's almost comical -of course if it wasn't sooo PATHETIC! [link to news.cnet.com] SAN FRANCISCO--Ever since President Bush signed a secret cybersecurity directive two years ago, executive branch officials have been dropping hints about what might be in the highly classified document known as NSPD54. Former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff once likened it to a new "Manhattan Project," and The Washington Post reported that the multibillion Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative represented the "single largest request for funds" in last year's classified intelligence budget. A Homeland Security assistant secretary previously acknowledged there were "plans to expand" a network monitoring component, named Einstein, which has prompted protests by privacy advocates. <snip> There's not much in the way of details, but those that are included are likely to raise questions about the role of the National Security Agency in network surveillance and how intent President Obama is on continuing some of the more controversial cybersecurity policies of his predecessor. After the Bush-era warrantless surveillance controversy, many politicians and civil libertarians have become wary of greater NSA involvement in network monitoring. Go to the town meetings and if certain people don't want any new buisnesses because they'd rather have green spaces. Out vote those people Teh government has to be taken back community by comunity, state by state. Don't complain to the government, I know from personal experienceit does no good. Complain to your local news papaers and other newspapers. Contake different organizations. Mind you alot of these organizations have been infiltrated like the poverty coilition. It doesn't do a damn thing. |

Undoubtedly, the US Department of Homeland Security-sponsored event will report it as a resounding success and learning experience in its final report due in late summer. The exercise, by the US Department of Homeland Security simulated a coordinated cyber attack on information technology, communications, chemical, and transportation systems and assets. It simulated a crash of the US and international telephone system which in turn caused problems for top level domains such as .com, .net and .gov. more at.. Quoting: Light Guard 1102238and CIA's "Recorded Future", in cooperation with Google. Any more legal (!) Big Brother control machines? (Bureaucrats are Big Brother, the lower employees don't know it) thanks for that tip..I have never heard of "recorded future" The investment arms of the CIA and Google are both backing a company that monitors the web in real time — and says it uses that information to predict the future. The company is called Recorded Future, and it scours tens of thousands of websites, blogs and Twitter accounts to find the relationships between people, organizations, actions and incidents — both present and still-to-come. In a white paper, the company says its temporal analytics engine “goes beyond search” by “looking at the ‘invisible links’ between documents that talk about the same, or related, entities and events.” The idea is to figure out for each incident who was involved, where it happened and when it might go down. Recorded Future then plots that chatter, showing online “momentum” for any given event. more at .. [link to www.wired.com] Last Edited by RTS on 09/19/2010 11:52 PM |
