Pray for us up here, we've got multiple fires and 50mph winds. Gold Hill is big and heading, well, all over...

Eldora is a structure fire, and no evacs ordered yet, but it's a tight valley.

Not sure of the status of Magnolia area...

watching smoke from my bedroom window, this is pretty scary... North and south are the only ways out, as all Boulder County east roads from the mtns are being closed...

Canis, if your out there, get some pics from the flats for us. I don't have good views aside from the top of the smoke column... Eldora doesn't sound too bad as they are calling off back-up, but this wind could make things VERY dicey for the day

The Eldora fire is a structure, and it sounds like it is under control, as they called off back-up, but the high winds are making it scary. Eldora is located on the skirts of the Indian Peaks Wilderness, west of the town of Nederland. With these winds it could make living in Ned very hot...

I live in Ned and we are getting surrounded. It's not bad, but 50 mph winds don't help. They are calling for the winds to die down, but you never know above 8,000'...

OP here at work. I live in Nederland, SW of the fire. WE are safe, but watching the plume as it slowly grows. It's crazy to wath the plumes get bigger and darker as homes and propane tnks go up... Very sad for our mountain communities...

Thanks Sage. We're not sure where it's gonna go right now. The wind has died down, thankfully, but that could mean worse damage. This one may go all the way down to the flats. Hard to say as it's damage is over 3000 acres already...

Just drove down Wadsworth about 15 miles away from the fire. I could see about 3-4 spots on the mountain glowing orange in the night. Very erie looking. If it makes it down that mountain its all city after that no more mountains, just metro.
