"I was spraying my apple orchard looking directly South when I saw the largest, and lowest meteor/fireball I've ever seen. It was nearly horizontal in it's trajectory, lasted approx. 5-10 seconds and happened sometime between 11:59pm -12:01am (I time my spraying at the orchard).

It was so low it appeared to be just above my Norway Spruce trees, which are approx. 80 feet tall, and the ball was about as large as a stoplight if you saw the stoplight from 100 yards away. I've see plenty of shooting stars, but never one that appeared so close, or so low and I could clearly see the colors of the tail. Then pop, almost like a firework it was gone. "
