I had a back injury when I was 9 jumping off a 30 foot cliff on a dare from my brother and that damaged the first disk on the spine (L2 i think). Well it went from herniated to now almost completely destroyed with bone spurs and I'm over 50.

**Ouch !!!!

I use ICE, not heat and a chiropractor 4 times a month. I freeze a rubber 'hot water bottle' and then literally lean back on it in a chair for an hour in the morning - like leaning up against a cold rock. Sounds uncomfortable, but the result is that my back pain is reduced by about 50% throughout the day.

**No, Not Ridiculous At All !! ... It Is A Natural Temporary Solution, Though It Does Not Correct The Problem, Only "Numbs" The Affected Areas !!

My aunt had a horse fall on her in a stall and broke her back in a few places, so her spine was fused with screws, and it made it worse to the point that she ended up like a junkie on pain pills, and that eventually killed her. I'm not getting fused. Doctors are quacks.
