"On 8/24/19 at approximately 12:10AM EST I was facing north looking at the stars when a bright fireball appeared over the city of Binghamton, NY. Unlike other meteors I’ve witnessed it didn’t streak across the sky, it looked as if it was falling out of the sky.

It had a bright tail however it it looked like there were “sparks” in the tail. The “sparks” were as bright as the fireball and the brightest part of the tail. The fireball seemed pretty low in the sky when it appeared. It was visible for approximately 3 seconds before it appeared to disappear on the horizon."
