I watch the ISS travel over when I can, west to east. So I recognise scale distance, light intensity. It was first light at the time, I live high up so have a panoramic view of the south, up to 20 miles away. I know the flight paths of international planes coming into Bristol airport, so I cannot mix that up. I rushed upstairs , to view, after the light vanished, in case I could see an explosion, in the air or on the ground., but I saw nothing. It would be worth checking if Air traffic control at Bristol airport [BRS] saw anything on radar?As light came to the sky within 15-20 minutes, I observed a trail at the same height ,east to west, but not sure if it was a contrail. That slowly drifted south and faded." |

I do... it can happen anywhere for me but it's normally when I'm at home... particularly at night time... There were two balls together the first larger than the second but I didn’t see it split into two so it could be two separate fireballs. Both were the same colour the only difference was the size.
